Anyone run in both? What's the difference in cushioning, wear, durability? Thanks.

how much of a nerd are you to make a thread like this?
Not a nerd, just want to know.
For one thing, Nike gave each shoe a different name.
i'd say both are very clunky shoes compared to the original v1. if you're looking for something similar to the free v1, i suggest the saucony pro grid a5.
First, they are two obviously different shoes.
Second, the sole of the Free Run +3 is thicker with about an 8mm drop whereas the sole of the 3.0v4 is thinner and has a 4mm drop.
Third, the upper on the Free Run+ 3 has flywire and has a tongue, the 3.0v4 has no tongue and is designed to fit more like a sock than the Free Run +3.
Fourth, those are the major differences, so there you go.
Fifth, I've run over 100 miles in each model, and the 3.0 v4 is way more comfortable to me. It feels less like a traditional running shoe than the Free Run+ 3, so more minimalist.
Sixth, the cushioning seems firmer in the 3.0v4, because there is less of it, I guess.
Seventh, yeah, I'm tired of writing in a list type of format, so that's that.
I neglected to mention earlier, but the Free Run +3 has the hole for the Nike foot pod and the 3.0v4 doesn't. This forum is full of jackasses that would rather post one line responses that are largely unhelpful. Good luck to you.
Anyone know about the Nike Flex? Are they just a cheap version of Nike Free?
They're going for 50 bucks so I was thinking of picking up a pair. I'd probably just use them for the gym, not to run in.
Thanks, that helps. I wasn't clear if the v4 was just an update or a different shoe with different attributes.
