That hasn't been definitively established yet.

Maybe Botha (If that's the chief investigator that was charged with 7 counts of attempted murder) ... hit reeva in the head with the cricket bat after she was already found dead... maybe he messed with the crime scene???
Like I asked in another thread, the bail terms for Oscar P. are cruel and unusual punishment. No firearms = death sentence in S.A., right?
His whole defense is based on how dangerous South Africa is. He must surrender his passport, firearms, and is not allowed to return to his home. He cannot "possess" firearms, which I assume means he can't be around them too, unless they are complete idiots over there. So where is he going to stay in South Africa? I thought everyone had guns because it was so dangerous. Seems like a premature death sentence, according to his defense.
Oscar is guilty of what we dont know yet.
Unfortunately its up to the judge to decide and not the international media, public etc.He cant save his image because most South Aficans i talk to have found him guilty and his image is no more(media has also helped). We do have crime but as another poster said the rich are the main targets.I have lived here for 40 years and never had one incident of violent crime.(it does happen, but it is not the wild west)The media is creating a cicus here and ruining and tarnishuing or countrys name(then again sensation sells)As most people say Reevas family are the ones suffering and i hope that they can get closure to move on.
As a percentage of the total population? If so then that is hardly a surprise - the white population is less than 1/10th of the Bantu population.
Also, are we talking just murder, or home invasions and carjackings as well?

The most shocking thing here is that the Brojos think the DailyMail is a news worthy source and that this story should be taken with more than a grain of salt. This from track 'journalists' who should and ought to know better.

The Daily Mail has very little credibility and are prone to sensationalist journalism. I wouldn't rely on anything they print without it being backed up by multiple other sources

The evidence of this would be on the bat. Hair, bone, blood, etc would be imbedded in the bat. The bat is the key.

Editor's note, Update: This article has a quote by a close friend of Reeva's who identified the body. The friend disputes that her skull was crushed saying, "When I identified Reeva, I saw no indication of that", he said. "The first I knew about it was when I read it in the papers. I do not know where that came from".
The LRC nation must be out partying tonight. I can't believe no one has posted this.
My wife relayed the news to me. The Daily Mail is reporting that cops have told Reeva's family that Oscar did crush her skull with a cricket bat. Some of the family members saw her skull before she was cremated.

Apparently, the cops didn't reveal this info at the bail hearing because they didn't want to reveal their case. Alan Dershowitz says celebrity defendants are usually thinking about the right now and Oscar went into much more detail than was required in order to get bail. So if true, the prosecutors kept the skull crushing quiet to drop on Osar at the trial after he had already given his defense at the bail hearing.

Why don't they get reproduced when I quote?
