Does anyone know if you can replace the batteries in the old model Garmins? Currently, I'm a bit strapped for cash and won't be able to replace it until summer. Thanks.

I have no experience with the 201/301 models, but I've cracked the case on an old 305. It takes a standard 3.7V Li-Ion battery. Any battery with the proper dimensions will work. Some of the old iPod mini replacement batteries fit. The difficulty is that the wires are soldered to the battery. You have to clip the wires and re-solder them to the new battery. I did it with my old 305 when the battery life had dwindled to less than 2 hours on a full charge. It's now better than new. (In the meantime, though, I had bought a 310XT, so I hardly ever the 305.)
