I don't know what is going on. You come talk to me and explain. It doesn't feel good to be left in the dark about what's really going on and I don't deserve to be treated this way. You're acting like some ghost. You showing up and wanting to talk to me isn't creepy. What you're doing online is creepy.
What in the world does this mean or have to do with this thread????

Thanks. Definitely don't want to be a whiner and I know I'm not some superstar, but I do have goals that I put a lot into. I looked up the Tufts meet just before I saw this, I'll try to enter that maybe. Thanks for the MIT tip too.
Hey, I'd be pissed if I were you too. I don't know how the other fields are shaping up, but the Tufts 5k sounds like it'll be decent.

I entered with my shitty opener time of 8:48 and was not let into the meet. I'm pretty sure I'm in low-8:30s shape now but I won't get a chance to find out this weekend. Damn. Dropped my mileage and just ran a pre-race workout this afternoon, what the hell do I do now?
Gonna be pissed if a bunch of these guys run 9:00 3ks.
Wait a week and race at Harvard
MAtt Paulson is going to be a DESTROYER in this race. I can guarantee it. Heads are gonna roll.

True, here are the top 20 from last year's USATF NE meet. Perfect race for guys left out of Valentine. This year the meet is Sunday, February 17.

Are you asking BU runners to not run in their own meet? It's their own meet, they can do as they wish.
Also, these are PRELIMINARY seeds.. So you can see the BS seeding.. The first heat will certainly be modified.

Don't worry, planning 5k there. Excited for some final indoor races and happy to see how competitive they are around here.
Any takers for how many will be finishing above 9minutes in the BU Valentine 3K? Will the meet staff allow them to finish or will they be escorted from the track during the race for their dishonesty?
Women's entries anywhere? Couldn't find them on the BU site.

Over/Under is set at 7 currently.
Where can I find the heat sheets for the women 3k and 5k?
Bet the farm on over 7. Under/over should be like 15.
No one cares about women's track, stop posting about it.
^That's why all eyes are on Mary Cain.
Can we BOO any 3k'ers who run over 9mins? Do we have permission?
By looking at the list does anyone know if there are any sub 8 to 8flat guys in the race?
^ That's what the last heat will probably look like. Based on what I've found online, just about everyone in that heat has already broken 9. The three that haven't do have legitimate claims to being in the race anyway (4:21 mile pr for example). While there is certainly the possibility that a few of these guys will blow up trying to run sub 8:40 and end up at 9:0x, I think it's unlikely that 10+ will be in that range. I'll definitely take the under on the +/- 7 line.
That said, the fact that there are a few 8:3x guys in the middle of a bunch of 8:45-8:55 guys says to me that a LOT of people overseeded (everyone knew that would happen though) and a few honest coaches actually entered their athletes at their pr's. It stinks when guys with pr's like "honest seed" has of 8:48 don't get into the meet in favor of 8:5x guys, but I think people are overreacting a little bit to some of the entries in this race.
When are final/revised seeds being released?
Will this include heats?
Obviously people care about women's track if people keep posting about it...

BU messed with the seeds bigtime in the 3k and basically decided to let in whoever the fvck they want. one of my teammates (3x diii AA) was not let into the meet, despite being seeded faster than another one of my teammates who was let in (presumably on the merit of his 5k earlier this year, but still). how can you turn down someone on the same team seeded faster than his teammate??
its a complete mess and all based on politics and BS, screw BU, go run on a flat track somewhere and have your time mean something.[/quot00
