What about 3k and 5k for women?
hello????
This can't be the seed sheet, however. I see a bunch of very good runners buried on this list. When are final heats released?
If these also reflect heats, then the mens 3k is whacked out. Some bigger names will be waaay down the list.
it wouldn't surprise me if these are the actual seed sheets. this is a bu meet remember, so naturally some coaches are going to way over-seed, while others will seed realistically.
All true of course. But there aren't 30 plus runners seeded ahead of sub 14 5k runners, or very near to it. and I see two on the list already.

I entered with my shitty opener time of 8:48 and was not let into the meet. I'm pretty sure I'm in low-8:30s shape now but I won't get a chance to find out this weekend. Damn. Dropped my mileage and just ran a pre-race workout this afternoon, what the hell do I do now?
Gonna be pissed if a bunch of these guys run 9:00 3ks.

I can almost guarantee it.
I don't know what is going on. You come talk to me and explain. It doesn't feel good to be left in the dark about what's really going on and I don't deserve to be treated this way. You're acting like some ghost. You showing up and wanting to talk to me isn't creepy. What you're doing online is creepy.

Go to Tufts or MIT? There are meets at both of these schools on Saturday.
i bet a bunch of male runners overseeded themselves. if you see anyone running slower than the minimum mark to get into this meet because they overseeded unrealistically, they deserve to be shouted at
It sucks too because they don't have a 5K at the BU Mini Meets early in the season. Can they let a 9flat 3k'er race the next day at BU? Why let everyone race the mile but have such tight standards for 3k and 5k?
BU messed with the seeds bigtime in the 3k and basically decided to let in whoever the fvck they want. one of my teammates (3x diii AA) was not let into the meet, despite being seeded faster than another one of my teammates who was let in (presumably on the merit of his 5k earlier this year, but still). how can you turn down someone on the same team seeded faster than his teammate??
its a complete mess and all based on politics and BS, screw BU, go run on a flat track somewhere and have your time mean something.
looks like a couple of the kids allowed in the 3K at the back attend Boston University...possible coincidence they stopped right after them?

any 8:50 3k guys not make the meet?
So where do we put the over under on the 100th place time?
8:45 which may or may not have made it into the meet?

Thanks. Definitely don't want to be a whiner and I know I'm not some superstar, but I do have goals that I put a lot into. I looked up the Tufts meet just before I saw this, I'll try to enter that maybe. Thanks for the MIT tip too.

I'll be putting that at 8:45.
One of my friends who told me he is chasing 8:15 (has run 8:26 within the last year) is well out of the top 50 seeds.
Here are what I think the most common seed times will be:
8:00 (top heat wannabees)
8:15 (most noteably CIS guys chasing standard)
8:30
8:45 (just to get in)
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
