I would have to go with Bangkok Dangerous, probably the single most depressing movie I have ever seen, but there are a lot of shitty ones. Drive Angry was hilariously bad but Cage makes it watchable. Thoughts?

Just had to smile when I read the subject line. LOL
ALL of them
"The Wicker Man" would have to be a serious contender.
I use to love the movies he was in.. As of late I can't say the same :(
One of my favorite movies is Matchstick Men though!
This is relevant.

Although the movie is an excellent snapshot of the era, his acting in Valley Girl was suspect at best:
Lots of really bad movies. I think he hit serious financial issues and started making any movie he could to get paid.
Cannot say that I can think of a movie he has made in the past decade that was even decent except Windtalkers--he was not great, but it is a great story.
Didnt he do some movie about a witch? It looked dreadful.
deadfall per rt.
Valley Girl is cinematic gold. One of my all time favorites. Sort of like Romeo and Juliet set to a really kick a** new wave soundtrack.
Wicker man, always and forever Wicker Man. Nic Cage screaming about the bees, Nic Cage full on punching a woman in the face, Nic Cage burning alive. This is the movie that irrevocably ruined my faith in my dad's movie taste.
It's weird. Sometimes I think he's terrible, but in some movies he's pretty good (Raising Arizona, Leaving Las Vegas, Matchstick Men, The Weatherman). It's like there's no middle ground for him.

Good:Rumble Fish(supporting role, but a great movie)
Wild At Heart (Sailor, Sweetpea & BOBBY PERU!)
Leaving Las Vegas (Elizabeth Shue as Suzy Favor)
Raising Arizona ("She's got you on kind of a short leash")
Peggy Sue Got Married (Back to the Future for adults)
ALL of his other movies are terrible! Even though 'Captain somebody's Mandolin'(can't remember the name) was saved by PENELOPE CRUZ. who is great in everything she does.

Seriously...
Its like asking what your favorite Kevin Bacon movie is. You have to answer all of them.
Did anybody see Ghost Rider? I didn't, but it looked pretty jacked up from the previews.
The thing he made with David Caruso, way back in the day...that was pretty awful.
