What's going on at the USMMA? If you read the posting on the NCAA site it says to send a copy of your resume to Lott? Why would the head coach be picking his replacement? It's not like he's old enough to retire.
Matt Chisik out at Cal now, a vault/jump coach.
my understanding is that Lott is leaving because his wife got a job in the midwest (ohio?) and he wants to move with his family. He is leaving on good terms and has had enough success that he is assisting USMMA in the search.
Frazier is a UCLA Alum - Several time All American 65'+ Shot Putter in mid 80's. Who wouldn't want to go back to their Alma Mater to coach - especially since he is from Califonia. When you grow up in the west - you want to live in the west, not the south. I'm sure there are some rumblings at UT as well, so that would just make sense to move on as well. But the Alum part of it makes total sense. Great for John Frazier! Great guy and Great Coach!
Anyone know what Ball State is looking for?

They are looking for an Assistant Track and Field Coach.

Right. So they just want someone to be an assistant. No specialty in distance, sprints, or jumps. Just answer phones and take notes at practice.
With the combining of BYU's programs and the termination of two assistant coaches they will be looking to fill those positions, although many on here may not be qualified by virtue of LDS.
Any info on South Florida position?
Would be nice to know what Ball STate is looking for. They only scored four points in conference meet with one girl scoring in 1500. Other than that they either did not enter anyone in events, or the one athlete entered finished dead last. Lots of needs there.

Southern Illinois already does this... Connie Price-Smith and John Smith
Have you ever been to a meet where SIU competed? They don't have two throws coaches...trust me, there is only one...

Ball State is a distance position. Likely the same kind of hire as the last time... low pay and they'll want a female candidate. Ball State could be really good at distance but they aren't structured in a way to support that anymore.
BYU combines programs, wording of presser leads me to think that people were let go...?
Anyone think they know anything?
Don't know if it's been posted but Villanova....

Must have someone in mind...it's only open for a short period of time.
And Georgia Southern Univ. has a position for the women.
SJSU, please oh please hire Patti Sue Plummer. Word on the street is she wants the gig.
Im not sure if I was a throws coach if I would want to head to Tennessee unless there was going to be a new head coach there!
A short list of guys who are getting it done where they are currently or have the chops, that UT would perhaps be a step up:
Brian Forrestor - Akron
Greg Watson - Texas State (Although he just got there)
John Newell - Michigan State
Dave Price - East Carolina
D2 Guys - Blaine Maag - Grand Valley & Wayne State (Neb.) guy.
Spitballing
Obviously, Adam Judge is looking.
She could be a good fit. I ran against her high school team (Los Altos) and she has done a great job. I think she did an okay job at Stanford. She even did a tremendous job with Sarah Robinson.

He is the head coach at USF
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
