The region looks to be down this year based on La Crosse results. What happened?
This region has been down for about 5 years now. Hasn't had a team in the top 15 in the nation since 2007 and I think pretty much all of the qualifiers have been below 20th. They'll probably get another 4 bids this year though while the 6th and 7th place Midwest teams will stay home.
Didn't they remove the cap on teams that can get in from each region? I think the central will probably only get 3 this year
The central region is clearly being dominated by Central College in Iowa. That is after all why they call it central region. This is the best team we've seen in the region in over a year.
I did see Central's top man ran pretty fast at La Crosse (even though it was muddy?) How much do you think the mud slowed the course down?
Yea Stanely Kebenei ran pretty well despite the mud, I don't think he was trying all that hard, at least it didn't look like it. He probably has a lot more in him. Plus, I think central was missing one of their other top runners? Anyone know what his status is? Central isn't the deepest team in the country but they are really good up front.
