He started 2 hrs late. Not a Kip job since the masses were spread out by the time he caught up.

pretty sure prize money is based on gun time.

Not a chance. The halfers were released 2:00 hours after the marathoners and merged at mile16. He would have been finishing with the 2:00 halfers and 4:00 marathoners, which would have been as dense and slow as the pack got. So dense in fact that runners were unable to cross the finish line at that time because runners couldn't exit quickly enough.

Do a search on women top 25. There are about 4 women faster than tgje "winner" but with 4 hr gun times. A lady from Ellicott city has a 2:21 chip time.

So there are two or more that came in tenth? He had someone take his chip from him at the start. I can just visualze a guy that is running with multiple chips. You got to pass the timing mats over the course. Probably a bunch of guys with exactly the same splits.

Oops! Kozlowski is a 2:33 half marathoner. It looks like the Balto. Marathon mixed the 26.2 and 13.1 finish times. Likely he entered the half, then finished crossing the marathon timing mat (parallel courses).

There dozens with the same problem. The race just needs to fix the results.

Are they going to correct this? That newspaper sports writer should lose his job!!! You really think this 49yr old broke 2:20?

Congratulations, might I suggest celebrating the accomplishment with an 8 mile tempo run followed up with an early release winter ale from your local microbrewery.

It is anything but a race. They bring in no names from Ethiopia and Kenya, pay them a lot , give them the prize money, don't speak English and leave. Half the field walks. The Maryland runners who run in Maryland all year get squat.

They have a marathon, half marathon, 5K, relays - anything to get people in there to get their $$$$.

It's a joke event.
