This is SO not news. But, some of you aren't getting the responses right. Lolo didn't know who he was and did NOT know he was in a wheelchair. Perfectly acceptable response...maybe she should have looked at his avatar, but she didn't, so no big deal. I'm not even necessarily a fan of hers, but she did nothing wrong here.

Legrand actually apologized to Lolo for starting the whole mess. Neither of them could have imagined it would turn into a twittergate. Of course, he was just having some fun as was Lolo. Everyone else needs to remove the stick from their ass.
The fact that you already had a hate-on for her before this obviosly biases your response on this to the point of idiocy.
Look at it through her monitor (or smartphone, whatever):
1. She gets a tweet challenging her to race, clearly jokingly.
2. The tweet is from someone whose bio describes HIMSELF as a "Defensive Tackle for Tampa Bay Buccaneers"
She posted back, also clearly joking, implying the request was crazy and referencing his status as an athlete in a contact sport.
He humorously challenged her to a race, and she responded in kind. Any awkwardness around disability flowed from HIS decision to challenge her from a wheelchair (which was fairly clever in the irony - nice media grab by LeGrand). Only an utter moron or someone living with autism would see this as anything other than good-natured, since she clearly didn't know he was physically disabled. Of course, the only person with a real right to be offended, LEGRAND himself, is being gracious, while anonymous letsrun clowns are letting it ruin their morning wank.
Do you think Lolo Jones does a quick Google search on every 15-35 year-old dude who blows up her Twitter? that She has over 325,000 followers. Do you have any idea how many tweets and DMs she must get daily? Morons!

Not knowing who he was and assuming he were a pro football player, I would probably reply similarly to Lolo - probably less PC. It has to be annoying as an athlete to hear all these guys from other sports claim to be as fast or faster than sprinters. I'm guessing that's what her thought was after reading his message - another football player who thinks hes a world class sprinter.
