Ohio State's B team contends for a title
Don't know much do you?
Billy Jones and Caleb Muller will be in the top 5. Also remember Heller has beat Trusty pretty well early on in the season.
Kiplagat
Heller
Eick
Jones
Muller
Fisher
Cotton
Trusty
Indiv. wise it's a weak field. Team wise..it's pretty weak too.
No way does Terrell Cotton finish that high, the race is 8K not 200m
Only Ohio State who made NCAA's just last year and Miami 5-7 years ago have any real reason to not attend All-Ohio to instead chase points for qualifying.
The sad part is, none of the other MAC (and smaller) teams even know what that means. Kent and Akron never talk about Nationals!
According to results from Navy, Trusty ran a 25:04. Kent State ran somewhere else but Heller only ran 25:23. Fisher has run 24:59 on a fast but legit Calvin course. Cotton ran a 15:41 5k and was five seconds behind Thomas Ohlman from Xavier. Mueller ran a 18:26 6k which is very good, Eick ran 25:00 and Kiplagat ran 24:47. There's obviously no favorite. Should be a good race as any 7 could win it.
I saw where Jones ran a 24:23. Very impressive. Don't know much about the kid but if he repeats his performance he's hard to pick against.
I fully understand the system fully and cannot agree that any MAC team outside of maybe Toledo's women has a shot of benefiting from not going to All Ohio.
Janosko from BW should be in reach of the overall win as well. He has beaten Fisher and Muller numerous times over the last few seasons.
Again, you have never seen results coming out of VCP the last few years have you? 25:23 is FLYING on that course. Cotton has run 25:04 and getting better each week.
Eick and that kenyan can be a deadly 1-2
Mueller can run 24:30's this week. That's why I put him in my top spots.
Heller beat Trusty at Akron. That's what I was referring too.
You also have to consider Matt Brooker from Cedarville, he ran a 24:38 by himself on this course just two weeks ago. He also outkicked Cotton at UC's home meet in the beginning of the season.
There are better races out there to care about.
Forgot about Brooker. Janosko is good but I don't think he's going to be in the top 5, Cotton is tough and could be a real threat. Cedarville ran real well at their home invite a 25:10 average might win it on Saturday. We'll see. Always a bonus when you are the home team.
Kent State mentions that the race is Friday at 2:45PM but others have it as Saturday at 2:45PM.. The meet has been run on Friday's since I can remember...

Don't forget about Josiah Bragg. Kid ran 25:01 a couple weeks ago anD did a 12 mile tempo that morning. Word on the street is he's peaking out
I mean.. it's xc. Who did he beat?
Cedarville men have been known to choke when it matters.

I can understand Toledo not being at the All-Ohio. They are the only national level program.
The online coverage was too weak to see what the hell was going on, but it doesn't appear that Kiplagat even raced. And judging from where the first MU guy finished, I'm not sure if Eick did either.
Anyone have preliminary results? (You'd think Cedarville could post them one race at a time instead of making people wait 4 hours for everything to be over.)
