Give me your contenders and pretenders. Who will make it out of this tough regional? Who will be left home?
Haverford and Dickinson looking strong as usual. After those two those the rest of the spots look much more up for grabs.

Allegheny is back, probably looking at 3rd
desales is looking strong

.
All of their top 5 are sub 27. Not sure how fast the course is, or how hard they were going though.
Just saw these results, but don't know if it was a 5k or a 3mile. However, Haverfords top 10 look very deep regardless
Haverford races a 4 miler today on their home course v Villanova.

Its pretty fast. It's a 4 mile loop and has one not too large hill at the 3/4 mile mark.
The course at Oneonta is notorious for producing very fast times. I wouldn't put much stock into anything until Paul Short and the Regional Preview at Dickinson.

That's weird that Schilit wasn't first on his team both today and in the haverford time trial. Maybe he isn't feeling so great this season.
Barely mid September. No commentary allowed until October.

Its clearly past mid-September given that we're over 2/3 of the way through the month. Its also never too early to speculate especially now that we have actual race results.
Schillit was closer to being their top man than the last race, so he's probably coming back from something. A slow start isn't always a bad thing (e.g. Anders Hulleberg)
Regardless, Haverford will destroy this region.

YES! Someone gets it! Nobody cares who wins Podunk U Invitational. Save it for when racing hard matters!
True but these races are important to see where teams are. Desales is making some noise, regardless of how fast the course is.
Looks like Carnegie Mellon is getting faster as the season is going on:

Etown sucks, they have not raced anything resembling a decent xc time so far. There is no way they should be ranked in the top 10 in the region!
Should be interesting to see who shows up at the regional preview and who runs hard. Allegheny could be decent with Robert Over coming back.

I hope most teams skip Paul Short to attend Dickinson. Otherwise the field might be short of some top contenders.
Allegheny looked pretty strong. Interesting choice by Elizabethtown to put all of their guys in the 4k instead of the 8k.
