How awesome would it be if officials already have proof he is dirty and announce it to then entire stadium during the award ceremony? Ultimate humiliation that should ward off potential dopers in the future.

The race was over for less than five minutes. The phone rings and I pick up and he says, "Gold & Bronze To US in Men's 1500 - Unbelievable!!!"
I was like, "What? No Centro just missed the second medal" And then I realized he said gold and it hit me and I started laughing.
Hope this guy is in a position to do something about it. I saw the semi and the final--have witnessed dozens of remarkable performances that sort of come out of the blue at Oly-WC time and will be surprised if this isn't yet another. Let's hope that the testing comes through.

What if one of the U.S. runners is also caught? Oops.
I never said that I think he's on drugs. I just said the phone call was amazingly funny.
I even went out of my way to point out how his close in the semis wasn't historic by any stretch of the imagination:
http://www.letsrun.com/2012/taoufik-0806.phpMy brother has talking to a lot of people in London and he trains with Kaki and has a new training group. Plus, the way I think about it - he didn't beat Manzano by as much as Manzano loses in a big race like that so it's possible he's clean. It's also possible he's dirty.
Tuthfully, personally,I haven't made up my mind like I had with Ramzi well before the test came out. I still don't see what's wrong with reporting the phone call.
Some of you make me sick, This guy has joined Jama Aden's training group, which includes kaki, I can not remember one of he's athletes failing a drugs test.
He blew them away in the semi, because he has the best 800m speed, simple, and the whole field never learned anything from the semi. So he took the gold.
As you can see he trains with 800m guys, who you would think would all be winning also if something fishy was going on.

3rd place was Moroccan. Does this mean Gold/silver for USA?
It means silver and fourth for now. And really, it is very very rare for someone to fail a drug test unless they are stupid about it. You really think he didn't cycle off knowing he'd be tested if he won?
Our friend Eddy admits he doped for years before being caught by a random test at a bad point in his cycle.
rojo - no need to explain. Most of us got it - I'll admit it was my first thought too....

Yea, but what about his leg speed velocity?

Is that Hamza Driouch third from left? Dude has some crazy skinny legs.
Watch how wound up he is, how jumpy he is. It's either a stimulant or testosterone.
I guess this was one of those moments where you had to be there to appreciate the humor. The conversation just doesn't sound all that HAHA funny to me.
(and yes, I get what the caller was implying....)
Rojo:It's your website and you can report what you want. As someone who loves track and field and enjoyed a life as a professional in the sport for a long time, I am saying that it doesn't help our sport when the lead administrator of this website joins the many jerks who come on and spout out falsehoods day after day. I come on the site to read about news that I can't get anywhere else, but it disgusts me to constantly have to see posts that are derogatory, misleading and just out and out nasty. Read my original post again and you will understand where I am coming from. You have a great site and you and your brother have built something that has provided lots and lots of good information that is helpful to our sport. But as with anything, there is a good side and a bad side. Allowing a plethora of cheap shots, accusations, racist comments, vulgar language all diminish the quality of this site.I am definitely against cheating and always have been and I hope more and more cheaters get caught, but lets wait until all the evidence is in before hanging the suspect. Too many of these posts are like the wild, wild west. Hang them now and ask questions later.___________________________________________________________
Maybe the Algerian guy is just the Usain Bolt of the 1500. A best in the generation talent.
I was wondering why everyone was harassing Rojo, he only posted the quote from a phone call and people jumped all over him for it.
Here's a video of Makhloufi finishing 11th in 3:50.86 at last years World Championships.
He's considerably thinner and lighter in that video. He has bulked up quite a lot in a year.
Maybe if you read the subject line: "Best phone call ever" was Rojo's quote, not the caller's quote. Same with "Unbelievable" Rojo said that, not the caller (according to Rojo). Get it?

Dude take your meds and chillax
Why not be suspicious? Stop with the benefit of the doubt crap in all sports testing. He may not get caught and proven guilty but the dudes not right. Everyone knows this. The PC crap is BS.
