That is, really, a great way to put it.

Brent, you have a super lame email address for a grown-up man, and a terrible attitude. Frankly, I will not be donating to your page because of your mean-spirited posts and lame attempt to provide work to a friend of yours who is a total unknown.
Wejo or Rojo, could you please set up a legit letsrun account for donations? That would be a great way to support a fellow runner and his family in a difficult time. Thanks.

I don't like the idea of you "pushing" your friend from Canada, who just seems like a regular photographer to me. You also seem to have ZERO sense of aesthetics (I checked your blogs, poorly designed, worst than LRC), so you should NOT be the one recommending a photographer.
And the hits just keep on coming.
Instead of anyone acknowledging that I've said several times (and now that's even becoming an understatement), over several days, that I'm willing to do things differently, even to hand the project officially over to LRC, and simply saying, "OK. How about . . .", people continue to act as if I am insisting on my way.
All those words from all those posts under my name are a glitch in the matrix, I guess. Perhaps they aren't showing on everyone's monitors? And the appeal to check with Weldon if I didn't say as much in an email to him is just a bluff.
ah uh ok wrote:

I commend you if you are able to keep your cool when being grilled, even called scum, while being as open and transparent as possible. Yep! It makes me angry.
Bottom line, obviously, if this project is to be an LRC project, Andrew will not be the photographer.
What are we going to do? Stay with the general idea for the project? Or do something completely different?
The brojos aren't doing anything, so we are going to have to do it solo, I guess.
I still sincerely welcome your pointing out to me where you think I was defensive or angry from the beginning when replying to common. I've gone back and reread everything but don't see it. I think what's happening is you and others are taking the obvious anger I showed toward nasda and reading a tone from that back into all my other posts. It's not there, though.

I cannot personally imagine asking anyone other than my friend, Andrew, to do this. I thought of him because it just happens to be a perfect match. He specializes in exactly the type of work that would be best for this idea. And, as I mentioned, he could really use the work, both for the immediate finances and the addition to his portfolio to get more work in the future.
I know that some may think it wiser to hire a local photographer, but I’d bet almost anything there is no local photographer as good as my friend, one, and two, if there were and he or she was actually established, there probably wouldn’t be much, if any, savings by going that route. I’m sure there are “adequate” photographers in your area (it seems like you are in the “burbs” of a major city), but, personally, I cringe at this. Most “adequate” photographers today are trendy and, while their images are catchy, they won’t stand the test of time. My friend produces images that do not rely on the latest trends and looks, but are timeless. It’s the way I am. I can’t get myself to do hardly a thing if I think there is a better way. Andrew, without any doubt in my own mind, is the best way.
In what way does this supposedly undermine anything else I've said? It only seems to confirm it.
I don't know how you are reading that to find any contradiction, supposing that's what you are implying.
Maybe copying and pasting more from that thread will help you and others to understand why using Andrew fit the project better, i.e., what I wrote in reply to the suggestion of using Erin.
But it also is somewhat beside the point. As I said above, if LRC is going to adopt this idea, Andrew will not be able to be the photographer.
This thread is the definition of everything that is wrong about internet message boards, and LRC in specific.
Hi, All!
First! Major, major apologies for my anger. I had reasons, but no excuses.
Specifically, I need to apologize to nasda. I should simply have asked why you/he called me scum and let you/him retract or justify. I shouldn't have been mean the way I was. I also lied to you/him. I said I didn't like you/him. The fact is, while I was obviously very angry, I don't hate you/him. It would take a whole lot more to actually bring me to that point with anybody.
I waited for a while to see if anyone would acknowledge that I was offering the project to the community to shape or mold differently, but nobody did. I've now decided that, since I believe deeply in the project, that it would be impossible not to try to get it done for Cancer Guy and his family. I've therefore repackaged it and ask again for help.
In its repackaged form, I am "insisting" on using "my photographer", and keeping the "price tag" the same. Those who believe in the value and vision of the project are asked to give, not only financially, but also in efforts to help promote it.
Love & Thanks!
