a lifetime ban is what the sport needs... something to deter other possible dopers

The Spanish train extremely hard, but all of the elites do it with drugs.
That's the point that a lot of people miss completely: these guys aren't doping in order to avoid having to train hard. Rather, it's the doping that allows them to train as hard as they do.
Sure, a Lance Armstrong may have been "on his bike six hours a day," but what allowed him to train so particularly hard, and so effectively, for those "six hours," recover, and get back out there the next day -- day in and day out -- were the pharmacological aids.

You hear this argument a lot, but one of the hardest things about training is dragging your ass out of bed to workout the next day when you are wrecked and feel absolutely awful. If I was good and recovered every day I would sure as hell train a lot "harder".
Paul Tergat claimed he was the best because he worked really hard and did 6 hard workouts a week. I wonder how he managed those six hard workouts!?

wtf is mircera?
in the emails the guy is saying that it doesnt add muscle mass but rather contractions needed for speed/fast movement and that epo is for endurance.

Mircera is the brand name for a form of long-acting EPO, known generically as CERA, that was popular in the professional cycling peloton because it was, for a time, undetectable in doping tests.
