Would 2 long runs hurt me in anyway?
I have great foot speed but really lack endurance. I'm going to be a junior in high school.
Some times:
400: 55
800:2:10
1500: 4:41
3k: 10:37
5k: 18:16

I don't think it would hurt too much but i typically do a LR on Sunday (15 for example) then a run on Wednesday (11-12) that is more than my easy day but a few miles less than my LR.

No that is probably a good way to develop your endurance. Make sure you do strides to keep up your foot speed. Include tempos to work on your leg speed though.

Ok so he's got his foot speed and leg speed down, what should he do his toe speed? Don't hold out on us mayne! Share that toe speed secret
My long run right now is 10 miles and none of my other runs have been over 6 so i think i'll bump my long run to 12 then have my 2nd longest run at like 8-9.
I ran a 3.5 mile tempo in 24 minutes on Monday so the foot speed is defiantly still there from track.
24 minutes? is this a troll? that's almost 7 minute pace, I run that for 8 milers
yeah I'm trolling...
yeah but your 5k is most likely faster then 17 minutes.
Two medium long runs in a row are ok. Sometimes at your age, during base, I'd do 10+ miles three days in a row.
However, long runs as we know them from Marathon training, in a row, would not be a good idea. E.g. 15/15, that is probably too much and will harm more than help.
Just my 2ct.
two longer runs would be a good idea during base. and based on your times you could do your tempo faster
thanks for all the responses!
What would be a good tempo pace?

For your speed - 6:10-6:25 pace for 3-5 miles would be good...or to be exact - maybe 6:24 based on this:
