I'm going into my Senior year of High School and would like to improve my PR for Cross Country. I'm trying to run 70mpw for a few weeks before school starts back early August. I've only ran it for 1 week which was last week and I felt fine, even on Sat during my long run. I run 6 days a week and take Sundays off. On Monday during my run my legs felt like they didnt want to turn over. Same thing this morning but not as bad.
My question is should I back my mileage down or slow my pace(doing between 7 and 7:15pace)until I know if its the mileage? Or should I just keep doing what I'm doing and see if it gets worse? I've had days here and there where my legs felt like this but I'm worried about over training after a discussionI had with a friend of mine.
