Yeah so I\'ve got a stress fracture in my Femur. I started feeling is 3 days ago so I stopped running and cut my XC season short to try to bea this thing early. I wil be in the pool for probably 10 weeks including the latter 4 in which I will begin running again, but want some input on the subject. Anyone know what Ritz did for his stress fracture? No idea about Ritz, but as a 3 time stress fracture victim, this is what I have done...
pool running workouts, basically do a fartlek workout every day in the pool doing the same motion that you would if you were running. hopefully you have access to one of those vests.
Underwater treadmill workouts after a few weeks, (sloooow) this is something you may not have access to.
Basically when it stops hurting, stay off of it for another 2 weeks at least, If you come back too early it will be back.....
