Some of the nightclub cover charges (especially in big cities) are out of control. Personally, I'd probably pay $50 tops, assuming it was a quality club and I was going with a group of friends.

I wouldn't pay more than $5, and that's only if I got to the door and was surprised that there was a cover charge.
$5 won't get you into anything except a complete dive (in most places).

You are such a douche.
$0000.00
Night clubs are an overrated place to listen to crappy music.

Always the best places
You mean one of those places where you stand in line to be allowed to drink in a poorly lit room with music so loud you can't carry on a conversation? I'd pay well over $100 to get out. Oh, you're talking about paying to get in? Not a penny.
I have a feeling that many of you folks don't get out to party much. Live a little.

Partying is great. Night clubs, not so much.
Hmm, go to a house party with people I know and like and contribute 5 bucks to the general fund, or go to a nightclub, spend 80 bucks on drinks, and yell 'WHAT?' at women I don't know? That's a tough one.

Depends on what you are going to the club for. In the past, with good DJs at a club a person could get into a nice one for 10-20 bucks and enjoy some underground EDM and meet some nice people. Now with the pop acts like guetta and avicci its hard to find a club that doesnt charge a ton to get in and they typically play crappy music.
If you are talking about a hip-hop club, well then thats a different story. I wouldnt pay anything to go to one of those.
I once paid 35 for a club in Osaka, Japan. All you could drink for beer and mixed drinks until 5am. It was packed with nasty ex-pats.
If you go to a "free" club without a cover charge, are you really getting in for free?
Loser!
WHAT? WHAT'D YOU SAY? SORRY I COULDN'T HEAR YOU BECAUSE THE MUSIC IS SO GODDAMN LOUD

Hmm...I agree, but better yet, I suppose seeing the movie this weekend "Magic Mike" will be cheaper than going to a night club? Just say'n.
