Heard that Brian Cole (Brockport- Ohio Northern) is now selling track equipment? Did he get let go or was it a career move?
You have heard correctly. I talked with Brian in California at the outdoor national championships and at that time he had this position lined up. He resigned after returning back to Brockport within a day or two of the championships. The job he accepted was the right fit at the right time for him. It allows him to work from Charlotte, NC. where his fiancee lives, which I know that he and her had talked about one of them having to make a move. Finacially it is a big improvement over what he was making coaching at Brockport as well. I had lunch with Brian last week in Chicago and he is happier and more relaxed than he has been in sometime.
Brian did tell me that before they left for nationals the new AD had told him his contract would not be renewed after this upcoming season because he felt that the program had not shown enough improvement.
tufts might need a grad assistant, I heard one of their's is leaving
Brockport has moved asst. coach to Director in July 2012...
"In July 2012, The College at Brockport Athletic Department named Ed Jaskulski the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field. Jaskulski served as an assistant to the programs since 2002."
As a young coach looking to hopefully land a head job at a good DIII school someday I was wondering......who is the highest paid DIII coach right now? Maybe someone who also is a professor? State school or private? (probably private) Probably someone who has been in the position for a while.

d3 xc coach here: i make $58k. started at $18k several years ago and worked really hard to move up. fyi- my wife is a high school teacher in a low paying district, and makes more than me. you can't get rich coaching track/ xc. want money? start a business.
Its a shame I just ran across this thread, I think its a great idea, and will help a lot of young coaches and us that just purely enjoy coaching at DIII.
Anyways I noticed the thread has died down, and there are a few position still not filled, and even some full time assistant coach positions up for grabs.
Any Info ?
Pacific (Oregon) Associate Head Coach ?
SUNY Plattsburgh - Head Cross ?
Buffalo State - Head Cross ?
Washington and Lee Full Time Assistant ?
Trinity Full Time Assistant ?
Chicago Full Time Assistant ?
Christopher Newport Full time Assistant ?
The rest I saw I believe are part time, but lets keep the thread alive in the last few weeks of hires.
Case Western Head Track is now open, Steve Rubin moved on to UNC-Chapel Hill.
Owoshkosh? Great program needs head women's coach. Have they hired?
