Always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the bright side of life...
Are you sure about that?
SCARLETT
Rhett! If you go, where shall I go? What shall I do?
RHETT
Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn.
SCARLETT
I can't let him go. I can't. There must be some way
to bring him back. Oh, I can't think about that now.
I'll go crazy if I do, I...I'll think about it
tomorrow. I must think about it. I must think about
it. What is there to do? What is there that matters?
(The words other father and Ashley thunder in her
ear.)
Mr. O'HARA
You mean to tell me, Katie Scarlett O'Hara, that Tara
doesn't mean anything to you? That land is the only
thing that matters. It's the only thing that lasts.
ASHLEY
Something you love better than me, though you may not
know it.
Mr. O'HARA
Tara, it's this from where you get your strength.
ASHLEY
Tara, the red earth of Tara.
Mr. O'HARA
That land's the only thing that matters, it's the
only thing that lasts.
ASHLEY
Something you love better than me, though you may not
know it, Tara.
Mr. O'HARA
...From which you get your strength...
ASHLEY
... the red earth of Tara.
Mr. O'HARA
Lands the only thing that matters...
ASHLEY
something you love better than me...
Mr. O'HARA plus ASHLEY
...the red earth of Tara...Tara!... Tara!... Tara!
SCARLETT
Tara! Home. I'll go home. And I'll think of some way
to get him back. After all, tomorrow is another day!
(The end)
I might argue with Malmo over an opinion based thing but I don't think he mixes up his facts much. It's one thing to be wrong but when you call someone stupid for being wrong and YOU are the one that's wrong, what does that make you?
Malmo is not correct either.
In the film, Rhett says "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." then he walks away. Then Scarlett looks after him forlorn and says the last line: something like "Tomorrow I'll get him back. After all, tomorrow is another day!" the big music plays and the credits roll.
Still, that is one of the most famous closing lines in film history.
It was Rhett's closing line.
"Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
There was still action after this but I think this was this was close enough to the end.
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Armies of the North, General of the Felix Legions, loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. And I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.
Great line, but not so close to the end. The last line I think was "I will see you again, but not yet, not yet."

You can say that line anywhere in the US and anyone with an IQ over 80 knows it.
Very true. Except you accidentally wrote "IQ" when you obviously meant "age".
Not quite the end but close enough
captain it is I ensign Pulver and I just threw your stinking palm tree overboard. Or something like that from Mr Roberts was always one of my favorites.
But the two best and most famous as stated above are scarlett O'hara's tomorrow is another day
and Rick's I think is the beginning of a beautiful friensdship
Some other good ones"Madness, Madness" -Bridge on the River Kwai"Shut up and Deal"-The Apartment"Good, for a moment there I thought we were in trouble."-Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"My name is Joel Goodson. I deal in human fulfillment. I grossed over eight thousand dollars in one night. The time of your life, huh, kid?"-Risky Business"Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads."-Back to the Future"Grandpa, maybe you could come over and read it again to me tomorrow.""As you wish." -The Princess Bride"They say they're going to repeal Prohibition. What will you do then?""I think I'll have a drink."-The Untouchables

Susie Salmon: [voiceover] When my mother came to my room, I realized that all this time, I'd been waiting for her. I had been waiting so long, I was afraid she wouldn't come.
Abigail Salmon: [whispering] I love you, Susie.
Susie Salmon: [voiceover] Nobody notices when we leave. I mean, the moment when we really choose to go. At best you might feel a whisper, or the wave of a whisper, undulating down. My name is Salmon, like the fish. First name: Susie. I was 14 years old, when I was murdered, on December 6, 1973. I was here for a moment. And then I was gone. I wish you all a long and happy life.

Perhaps you should take your own advise....the topic was the best closing line, not the last over 2 min of a film .... Plus CO sucks
This is me taking control... from ergonomic keyboards, from cheating girlfriends and sack a s**t best friends. This is me taking back control of my life. What the f**k have you done lately?
I can't believe it's taken this long.
Yippie ki yay, motherf*cker.
"No chance."
-Commando
Maybe because that is not the closing line of Die Hard. The horror...the horror

What is wrong with people. There is 1:49 of Scarlet rambling on after he finishes his line. I didn't check exactly but it looks like it's exactly what Malmo posted. You just made me waste time looking it up. Why do people insist being wrong so cavalierly?
