Why does the NCAA not count Swathmore results in the rankings and seeds for the national meet? Saw it in the NCAA preview post today and didnt know they did that.

Maybe they finally measured the track
The meet was after the closing date for qualifying for Regionals. Should count in the final season's rankings though.
I don't know the answer to this question, but it's funny you should say that. Many years ago, my sister was looking at colleges, and anywhere she was looking, I wasn't looking. But I was on the Swarthmore trip with her, so I skipped the tour and took that opportunity to do a workout on their track. I was doing repeat 400s. I still remember how fast I ran my 400s that day - about four seconds faster than I usually averaged. It was magical, almost too good to be true, I thought. So if you told me their track was short, I'd be disappointed for everyone who has raced there, but not at all surprised. If it's not short, it's magic at the very least!
What do Swathmore and Colorado have in common?
Pete and the CU coach were roommates.

This is th eanswer.
But it is on the IAAF list:
http://www.iaaf.org/statistics/toplists/inout=o/age=n/season=2012/sex=M/all=n/legal=A/disc=1500/detail.htmlI LOVE that track, even though there always seem to be a bunch of geriatric walkers and community women hanging about, talking on cell phones.
Never ran a meet there, but have worked out there a bunch of times, always in tremendous heat--and it was always great.
Must be the enhanced partial pressure of oxygen, owing to all the trees around the area.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...and before you guys pile on, it was the atmosphere that was hot.
Then again...
Nice Rioti reference, geezer ;)
