Nobody wanted Pueblo, but do you really think elevation would have changed the results? Pennel ran 28.20's Graham ran 3.40 high, Berian won indoors and ran 1.48 this yr, Haebe ran 8.36 or something and won heat 2 at sac. Don't make excuses, the results would have been the same anywhere. In fact guys like Pennel,Haebe,Bond,Graham etc would have probably been able to double better at sea level. For example Graham was 1-3, last yr 1-2 indoors then 1-5 this yr. Haebe and Stevens are classy athletes but they struggled in the 5k, probably due to running the steeple the day before. Maclain another classy athlete tried to do the 1500m/5k double and suffered immensely , at sea level he may have pulled it off. look at the 1500m/mile results past few yrs for the rmac: 2010 1,3,4. Indoors 2011, 1,4, outdoors 2011-1,2,4,5. Indoors 2012- 1,2,3,4, Outdoors 2012 1,2,3,4,. I bet I coud do the same with the steeple,5k,10k and even the 800! Why? Because the RMAC is superior to every other conference. Train harder or get over it!
