Scores have been updated and transfers are open now for Pre.
Does anyone know what happens if an athlete doubles? Can you get points in both events? Walter Dix and Allyson Felix are both entered in the 100/200.
Sorry, not Felix, just Dix is entered in 2 events.
How long was the transfer open? Somehow I missed it and it is now closed. I checked a few times after Thursdays Rome meet, but this morning I cant change and am stuck with my old team.
It was open for about a day, starting the morning after Rome. They should really be on top of this stuff if they want to keep people interested.
Bumping up for Bislett.
Ya, the open period for each meet is ridiculous. It should be open up till the start of the meet just like in every other online fantasy sport league. I haven't been the best about checking my teams, but I've missed the last 3 meets because I either check too early too late. I haven't seen it open since the first Diamond league meet.
This will kill any interest in this endeavor.
Oslo picks were relatively easy compared to Pre. They seem to have 1 big star in most events. Even the big clash between Powell and Bolt is a no-brainer. I hope the conditions are good for a meeting record (9.88). Bolt should hit that pretty easily if the wind is legal.
RE: open periods. The transfers are always open the day before the meet. It's kind of a bummer that a lot of people fell in the standings just because they didn't make transfers for a meet. The least they could do is send you an email when the transfers are open. Hopefully someone from the IAAF has this thread bookmarked.
Transfer period is open. Closes June 9 at 13:00 UTC (which I think is 9:00 am ET).
I also just realised you can see who other people picked before the meet, how dumb is that, some lazy person would just copy the picks of someone high in the rankings. This whole thing is a travesty but I continue to do it because it's the only competition available. They seriously could do a hell of a better job even with the poor current format they have in place.
I had 157 points in the Adidas NY meet. Warner was my only non-winner and had 6 with meet records. What's the highest some of you have gotten?
bump......Changes to teams allowed until tomorrow night.
Bump for Lausanne tomorrow. Get ya picks in.
transfers are open for Zurich. although the men's 100m is strangely not included on the list. I sent an email to the league organizers. We'll see if they get added.
I'm pretty upset!
Everywhere on the Diamond League site and even on the IAAF fantasy site, they refer to the Zurich meet starting on August 30th. Well, the shot put is going on now (the 29th) and so they've closed the transfer window and locked in entries.
I had moved up to 106th on the overall leaderboard and had hoped to crack the top 100 by the end of the season. No chance of that now....
Thanks for letting me vent.
Only your 10 best of the 14 meets count so it's not quite so bad that you missed it.

That's not true. It seems that last year they took the top 10 meets, but all meets have been applied so far this year.

Same man, I was pretty upset myself after having done it all year and missing out for the exact same reason. I was winning our LestRun group for a bit and close to top 100 overall, but I also missed Zurich. It was pretty dumb considering they advertise on their own site that it was Thursday and not Wednesday. They do a pretty bad job with it overall for something that is run by the IAAF anyway. How about an email reminder once in a while? I sent them a complaint email, not that it wil do any good.
I knew the shot put was the day before, but it didn't even cross my mind to go fill out my picks earlier. They had events on the first day of the Prefontaine Classic and they still didn't lock down until the second day in that instance.
Missed Brussels too. Thought they'd still be open like 6 or 7 hours before the meet starts, but nope. Oh well, in the end it was more about who remembered to fill out their team for every meet than who made the best picks.
You're leading my group, Employee. I missed the f'in Zurich meet because of that shot BS/whacky open transfer business, and fell back to third. I have my picks set for this meet, but even missing one makes all the difference in the world.

Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
