I'm looking for a good GPS running watch to keep track of heart rate, distance, and pace. But I also have some trails nearby that go through woods that I like to run.
Originally I was considering the 405 but I don't want to have to give up this large expanse of trails to keep the accuracy of my runs. If I just buy a footpod, can I use the GPS when I'm not in the woods or on a cloudy day, and switch to the footpod when conditions are less than ideal? WIll the watch connect with the footpod or will it only use the gps?
