Been running in the Brooks Launch for awhile. Looking to try out the Zoom Elite or Adidas Boston 3. How does the cushioning of these shoes compare to the Launch? Thanks.

Funny how so many shoes I have been looking at lately have been mentioned on here. Maybe it's that one psychological effect where you start noticing something all the time that you recently became aware of.
So yeah. I'm leaning towards getting the Boston 3 right now, but have considered the Launch. My concerns are that I have heard a lot of people say the Launch is too soft. But I also have heard the Boston 3 is really firm. I have also heard the arch is high in the Lunar Elite.
Haven't tried any of them, but would also be interested in hearing about comparisons of these shoes.
I have been running in Boston 2s and have only tried on 3s.
I can only assume they are similar with the 3 having 2mm less stack height and so maybe slightly less cushioning.
I was excited about the Launch after reading the reviews.
I have tried it on twice. First time was a new pair in the store and I ran briefly on a treadmill. I felt the cushioning and transition were both worse than my Bostons.
The second time was a returned pair I tried in the parking lot. This time they felt better but still like the Boston's better. I have found that in some shoes like the launch and also NB 890 that the cushioning compresses unevenly when my foot strikes the ground feeling sort of like a trampoline. The Boston and has a more even and supportive feel to the cushioning and has a great transition.
Of course no one shoe works for everybody and I am sure the Launch might be a better choice for some. I could probably enjoy running in them but I didn't think it made sense to buy a shoe I like less than what I have already have.
Can't comment on the Nike Elite as I have never worn them but I seem to remember they have a high arch.
I haven't worn the Bostons or Launch so I cannot comment on them. However, I have run in the Nike Elite. The Elite feels to me like a firmer Pegasus with an absurdly high arch. The arch actually really bothered me so I ended up returning them. I'd stay away from the Elite unless you really need a lot of arch suppourt.
they made the boston 3 narrow. i swiched to the launch.
The op was talking about zoom elite, not lunar elite.
I have run in boston 3 and launch. The boston is a lot more firm, but I like the ride a lot more them the launch. I has the lunar elite 1 and 2. The 1 sucked bad, the 2 was better but not very good because of the high arc, the upper was good but not the sole.
I live the boston, could race a marathon in them if I didn't own the lunar racer.
