I have been running in Adidas Boston 2 and really like them. I bought a second pair because I am afraid the Boston 3 is too different. Specifically it is lower so maybe the cushioning will be less. I would like a companion shoe to rotate with the Boston. I have also used and like Tempos but like Boston better. I have tried on a lot of shoes:
Adidas Supernova Glide 4 - Thought this might be the answer since I like Adidas and this would be more shoe when I need it. Turned out to be too soft, clunky and felt slow.
Brooks Ghost 3 & 4 - Sort of liked the 3, didn't like the 4.
Brooks Launch - Was really suprised I didn't like this shoe after reading all the positive reviews and on paper seemed really similar to the Boston. Felt less cushioned and the transition was not good at all. Maybe they need breaking in or I need to change my running form?
Brooks Pure Flow - Only tried it on because it was on the used sale rack. Kind of liked it, especially the comfort. I did notice the heel drop and wonder if this will be a problem since I have had a history of calf strains.
Used to run a lot in Nike Pegasus, but got tired of Nike changing the shoe so much, have lost all feeling that Nike is a serious running shoe anymore. Don't like Asics much either, seems like all their shoes are very stiff.
Any other shoes to consider?
