Read the article. It's framed as just a couple of negligent rednecks causing the death of a child, which is probably true.

This seems like a difficult case to prosecute. Hopefully the local DA isn't an idiot.
That was my daughter.
F.
Wouldn't that be her step grandmother and thus not related to her at all?
Actually, the grandmother was her father's mother. Her father was out of town working and flew back to be by his daughter's side when they took her off of life support. The step mother went into labor hours after being arrested and gave birth to a baby. I am so sad for this little girl. What horrible creatures some adults are.
I am sorry that I was an ass to assume that the girl and the family were black.
At first I thought this involved the Fay-Man program.
You are mis-informed. She dies from complications from the dehydration, not dehydration itself. Shee had an exsisting medical condition.
Your statement seems to imply that hospitals should be able to fix anything, and they can not.
The children's hospital she went to is one of the finest in the nation. Strangely, while Alabama is backward in many respects, we have an outstanding medical community in Birmingham.
My friend's mother was a grandmother at 34. Two accidents.
Always use a condom.

Good idea. Apparently, however, requiring free contraception is a violation of the "free exercise" provision of the First Amendment. You can only imagine how surprised the angry upholders of the faith in New Hampshire were to learn that for the past 12 years their free exercise rights had been trampled by their Republican controlled legislature's passage of a law in 2000 making free contraception mandatory. No worries, that law will soon be repealed.

A fine example of someone that clearly does not understand the issue at hand.
this thread is worthless without splits
Chances are the running didn't in and of itself didn't kill her, but some type of health issue. When a human being is too tired and dehydrated, the body shuts down and they will simply stop no matter what someone tries to make them do.

Averages by state...
http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/databriefs/db21.pdfSince 1970, the average age at first birth has increased in all states, rising 5.0 years or more in the District of Columbia, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, while increasing less than one-half that number in Mississippi, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
Interesting, but I wonder how that breaks down by demographic? I'm guessing increased teen pregnancy in the poorer demographic is being offset by more middle class women getting careers and waiting to have childen.

Not always. This poor girl untrained without water and aged 9 ran for 3 hours. She must have gone past that point where most people would have stopped
It's child abuse in my opinion
Makes Kawauchi look like a lazy piece of crap.
This story is very strange to me. I don't see how a little girl could run for that long even if she's forced to.

On what basis are you guessing that?
sounds like that buddhia singh boy who ended up running for 5 hours straight at the age of 4 or 5 for some sort of punishment.
