2:23 sounds impressive to our ears, but realize that that time got *19th* on the world list last year! Now most of those ahead of her were Ethio/Kenyan, but even with six of those + Shobukhova, you can kiss any hope of a medal on it's hairy a$$ as it exits out the door. More tears for poor Paula.

1. She's run 2:15, over three minutes faster than any woman in history, so it's possible. She doesn't have to be in 2:15 shape, just within 4 minutes of that to have a shot at winning it all. Totally possible!
2. One of the most talented athletes in the world
3. Has a heart way bigger than everyone on this site. To even think about the 2:17-18 range just shows you what she can do. I'd bet you my life that no one thought a woman would run 1:15 in the marathon, except Paula herself, and that's exactly why she did it. I'm rooting her on, she can do it!
