Anyone know the regional results for the Mid atlantic guys and girls?
from wvu's website:
DAVIS, W.Va. (November 16, 2002) - Sophomore cross country runner Megan Metcalfe won the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional championship this afternoon at the Canaan Valley Golf Course in Davis, W.Va.
Metcalfe led the West Virginia University women's team to a fourth place finish. Georgetown, Villanova and Penn State rounded out the top three. Members of the women's team included Tara Struyk (12th, 21:21.2), Susan Davis (36th, 22:30, 7), Devon Plesuk (40th, 22:35:8), Jennifer Kemp (42nd, 22:33.4), Rachel Carden (45th, 22:43.0) and Jennifer Davis (69th, 23:18.1).
"I am ecstatic about the women's results," said distance coach Sean Cleary. "Last year they left this race hurt as freshmen and this year they came out and finished with results that will most likely get them a bid to NCAA's."
Sophomore Zack Sabitino finished 13th in the men's 10,000 meter race with a time of 31:03.1. The Mountaineers finished eighth overall and team members included Matt Petitt (31st, 31:43.1), Peter Knuchel (48th, 32:09.8), Nick Albanito (63rd, 32:29.6), Robbie Watson (71st, 32:41.1), Ben Lukowski (103rd, 33:26.3) and Tyler DeVault (136th, 34:40.6). Villanova, Georgetown and Princeton finished in the top three spots.
"This is one of the finest races I have even seen Zack run," said Cleary. "The whole team came back in the second leg of the race and finished strong. This was great experience for such a young team."
For the first time in school history the Mountaineers hosted the event. One hundred and eighty eight women from 27 schools and 179 men from 31 schools competed in the race.
Georgetown and Villanova women and men and the top four individuals automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships on November 25, in Terre Haute, Ind. The remainder of the teams will be considered for at large bids which will be announced Monday, November 18, at 5:00 p.m.

I NEED INDIVIDUAL RESULTS!!!
villanova.com has the nova men and women finishers...but i need more!! SOME ONE POST THEM!!!
I can tell you it's not anyone from WVU that's holding up the results. The jackass who was working the computer at the finish decided he wanted to go home right after the meet and he took the disc with results on it with him. - So it caused quite a bit of confusion.
I have some results though but I can't remember much
Andy(?) Smith won with Blincoe, Curly haired Villinova guy, and Hayden in the top 4. Bunch of Villinova and Georgetown people in the top 20 - who cares really
Megan Metcalf 1st for the girls with the Rutgers girl in 3rd and a whole bunch of Villinova and Penn State girls
Anyway it was really muddy and slow
Too, bad you guys can not have the results faster than the Far west region. Nice to hear of the glorious performacne of the WVA athletes. But we are all awaiting the results of the entire meet. Typical SID reporting
Who cares? I think there needs to be some organization done, this is ridiculous. Where are the results?
boo freaking hoo you babies, quit complaining that's all anyone on this site ever does, shut up.
good bye, robbie d.
WVU hired some old grumps to work the finish line - they did a good job but the guy who used the computer had the results on a disk and then he LEFT WITH THE RESULTS!!!!!!!!!! How can you not understand that.
The finish line crew (me excluded) screwed all this stuff up. It has nothing to do with WV. These guys are from PA or NJ where all the morons come from.
where all the morons come from? are you serious dude? You have more people in west virginia than teeth and you aren't sure where all the morons come from?

You guys are a bunch of dousche bags, and its not WVU fault these results weren't up in a split second.
The mid-atlantic region was run in the middle of no where. They had to send the results by carrier pidgeon, and the first 3 got shot by hunters.
Have a little patience, and a little courtesy. West Virginia ran an excellent meet. A lot of hard work went into it by a few individuals, with little help from others...Also, the people who write the stories for sports information are not the people who post the results. As already mentioned, the NCAA rep who posts the results left the meet before doing so. The results will be posted in time. No need to mock people you know nothing about. Now, stop waiting for results on silly message boards all night, it won't change what they are tomorrow.
Personally I have a few complaints about the Regional meet.
1. There was WAY to much Deer Poop at the start. That's just gross. There should've been a deer poop clean up crew.
2. A racoon (nicknamed Rocky) came into our room and ate our breakfast food. This was the only food we had for the race so we didn't get breakfast. And Rocky bit my friends finger and now she has rabies.
3. Those Georgetown and WV girls are HOT!!! But that's not really a complaint.
4. The deer seemed like really nice animals but when I tried to ride one it got real mad and bit my shin. What's up with that?
Anyway - other than those few things I guess everything was cool. Really muddy, but cool.
were the scarlet knights at the meet i can't find them in the results
