Ok State crumbles? They moved up the entire race. Get a clue.
OSU loses their number one runner from last year and still finish within striking distance. Hardly what I'd call crumbling.

What a retarded point. Wisco lost their number 1 from last year too.
Nope, they CRUMBLED.
Look at their roster, complete and total superstars.
They have their token kenyans, and so forth. No reason to lose with that top of the line recruiting.
Wisco... The blue collar team of NCAA'S
CU coming out of NOWHERE. Who are those guys?! Look at how good they were in high school compared to now. Amazing.

Give me a break. Wisco has a top 5 recruiting class every single year and gets foreigners as well (their top runner this year was foreign).
Congrats to Wisconsin, they are awesome and lived up to their deserved top ranking. Ok State ran about as well as could be hoped given their runners this year and they did very well to move up the whole race.
Why do so many times we feel the need to bash whatever team doesn't win?
Their top runner is Canadian. Foreigner by definition, but in reality, not really.
Okst... Back to the drawling board, who can the OSU coach recruit for next year without German and Colby?
Although, he'll do it again. He finds a way to suck up and get the kids, most of which leave or quit. It's going to be quite the dynasty once the OSU coach learns how to coach.
But let's give a shout out to CU. Wetmore, "How do you do it?!"

What the hell does this even mean?

they were ranked 2nd and they finished 2nd... apparently, you have no grasp of the english language...
OK State has no track team and dumps all the scholarships in the Distance team. Wisconsin fields a full track team and Cross Country team with the same scholarships so yeah, OK State should have an advantage.
;>)

It always surprises me that on letsrun (very distance dominated running site) that this is viewed as a negative. Espescially when many of the people will then complain about our distance development on a world stage.
Wisconsin has had a pretty decent reputation, and always has produced some pretty decent runners...anyone ever heard of this runner dude named Chris Solinsky?!
I don't think he is viewing it as a negative, just apples and oranges. Some programs, like Wisconsin or Oregon, focus on the track program. When they do this, they can't give out full rides to distance and XC runners. That being a fact, Ok State should be able to dominate over schools like Wisconsin. The fact they they (Ok State) put all their eggs in one basket, yet still lose to Wisconsin says something about the program(s).

It means that in a couple hours Mo can drive from his home in Canada to the States. It means that he grew up a couple hours from the states. It means that he didn't fly across an ocean simply to attend a school and run.
It is just a very big northern Wisconsin county.

They lost to Wisco this year. They had won 2 national championships in the past two years. No other program is even close to 1-1-2 the past few years.

Oregon won in 2007 and 2008 and was then second in 2009.
