I'm also very interested to see how it works. Looking forward to the review.
Really wish they'd release a version for, say, $129.00 that was able to plug data into a PC. I'm too lazy to log mileage by hand.
I hear it will record splits, will it record all miles up to a marathon for example, cheers. £100 in the UK about 158 USD !!

Bump. Just got it today, may post a review later. Does anyone else who has used or owns the watch have any opinion of it?
The 210 is too big? For real?

Question: how is average pace being calculated? I heard this is a big annoyance on the Nike GPS since it jumps around all the time compared to Garmins floating last 100m or whatever it does.
Bumping my question.
I got this watch yesterday, and took it out for a long run this morning. The watch completely died less than 2 miles into the run despite showing 90% battery. Giving it the benefit of the doubt that it needed a charge after taking it out of the box, I charged it and it completely freezed. Now it just shows the "charging" screen and is otherwise completely useless. Maybe it's was fluke, but it looks like I will be staying low-tech with watches that will at least keep the time for me.
So, I've had this watch for a week now, so I'll attempt to give a review of the thing.
I have not encountered the problem of the watch completely freezing that Saguaro has, so I can't comment with any certainty that that was a fluke or common occurrence, but I'd lean toward the former.
Battery life seems to be as claimed by the manufacturer. It also seems to be rather accurate at measuring distance, being at most a tenth of a mile off when compared to mapping running routes out online, which I'd say is rather good, but others might disagree.
A few drawback I've found are that: 1) you can't view the length of splits, both in terms of time and distance, while in "Run" mode, only total time and distance; 2) along similar lines, "Chrono" mode doesn't display pace, just split and total times, and distance; 3) enter and backlight functions are activated by the same button. I realize that there are only so many buttons that can be put on a watch face, but come on; and 4) runs needed to be saved before they can be viewed. Along similar lines, I haven't found a way of deleting times without first saving theme to "Run Data"; and 5) auto lap can't be set to 0.25 miles. Then again I'm not that anal and want that kind of split, but I'm sure others would when they're on the track or something.
From what I gather, average pace is calculated based on a floating last 100m, so no jumping around.
One feature that I think is neat is that you can have the clock time displayed without having to switch modes.
Acquiring a GPS signal can take some time, but I haven't actually timed how long it takes.
Overall, I am pleased with what the Soleus GPS 1.0 watch does. It gives me time, distance, and pace, which is really all I want this watch to do. While it would be nice to be able to upload data to the computer, it isn't exactly a deal killer to me. If someone is looking for a simple, bare-bones GPS watch for "cheap", I would recommend the Soleus.
After a few runs, I can safely say my purchase was well worth the money.
Pros:
Simple, small and comfortable. The GPS seems to be very accurate. I ran a 5k sunday, my final distance was 5.02KM...not bad.
The battery life seems to be lacking, although I have run 6 times without recharging.
For $69, it can't be beat. IF you must track your runs on the computer, it isn't good enough. For everything else, it is great.
bump... wondering if anyone has tried the new Soleus.
