Germany? Norway? Netherlands? Denmark? Finland? Sweden? Switzerland? Austria? Do they just not count, or what
Life Guard. You're always on vacation.
Are you all single men out there? Is it the kind of place you'd bring a wife and kids?

Teachers don't work for almost three months every summer but it isn't vacation time. They aren't paid for that time though some school, disttricts will parcel your pay out in 12 month increments rather than 10 so you'll have the illusion of being paid.
If you consider reimbursed business trips to France, Italy, Germany, Greece etc. vacation, then I'd say approx 2 months per yr.
Suck it, peons!
Department store Santa, work 2 months, 10 months off![/quote]
Real santa
364 days per year
Company sled thrown in
That's nearly as much as teachers
Wildland Firefighter. Work about 5 months out of the year, food and lodging is paid for when out on fire, make enough bank to live for the rest of the year. But during the time you work, you're life is pretty much fire.
State government employee. Of course, not the most dynamic field right now. We don't get paid much and nobody gets rich (contrary to whatever people say about government workers), but get more vacation than most. During the first year, I accrue 12 vacation days, 6 sick days, 3 personal days, and 12-14 paid holidays depending on the year. November will be great with an Election day, Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving and the day after off! But state government seems to be where creativity, ambition, and happiness go to die.
Is that California? How long do you think you'll keep doing that?
I've been a small businessman for decades now. I work constantly, every day, mostly reading papers, visiting universities and companies in the USA, CJK, and W. Eur. I have the freedom to travel to many places, and take time off whenever I want to.
I work in the R&D field and look for small group (normally 4-20 engineeers) technology projects that people are doing and invest in their companies. Normally these are OEM technology projects which means the target of the technology sale is to a large electronics or software firm. Many times I come in when they need money for capital equipment which I provide in exchange for stocks and a position in the company.
I started doing this sort of work after working at a small startup that was acquired in a similar manner.
Yeah .. The best would be to move to Europe. There employees are treated like human beings, with lots of vacation and benefits. Here in the third world we have to stick with the crumbs that falls down from the table.
Time for USA to adopt the French
Model and go with a national month off deal.
Screw the puritans---total killjoys!

You're what we call a tool in the civilian world.

I'm assuming you're responding to my wildland firefighter plug. Wildland firefighters can find employment all throughout the West, and in some other places (Minnesota, I think). I don't work as one, but a couple friends do it. Some crews get to travel to different states to fight fire. Days can be real long and you can go two weeks or more without a day off during the season, but as I said, they make big money in season.
Not sure how long people keep doing it. If guys stick around for a long time, they should be in some sort of leadership or management position. The body can only take so much physical labor before it breaks down.
My ex-brother-in-law is a NYC personal injury lawyer. Works 3 weeks. Vacations in Florida one week. Three or four pay days per year = $ millions for his cut of the judgements and settlements.
You are a furf tard .. All the scandinavian countries are way better than the "United cooperation of USA" . Have lived in the USA for 10 year now .. It sucks here, and I can not wait to move back. Employees are treated like crap with no benefits and no vacations. It is the crappiest place in the western world. You are way behind. I feel like I am transported a 100 years back in time. Greedy juvenile furftards ... oh my God.
