I wonder if the IAAF site will update the 5km and 10km splits on the results page before we get to the end of the case.

The race has finally been broken open. It is down to four runners.

they started at 9am Daegu time

finish will be around 30, 35 mins from now
Alisa McKaig is probably happy she's
not in Blowing Rock NC right now!
I doubt there is anywhere else in the word she'd rather be than in Daegu competing in the World Championships.
I guess an announcer can get away with saying anything if you have a british accent
Eurosport commentator is bitching out his cameramen or producers for missing the break in the marathon, he sounds so pissed off he doesn't want to narrate the rest of the race!
These British dudes call it like they see it. I approve wholeheartedly.
love their apology for missing the break in the race for "rudimentary heats"
Marathon starting now on Universal TV. Tony Reavis commentating.
Down to 4--Jeptoo, Kiplagat, Kebede (Eth), and Cheprop...alll solid 2:22 or better ladies...Calling Kiplagat now....don"t count out Cheprop for third--she is tough.
Wow a 4 runner breakaway off a 2:30 pace. Booooring.
It looks like it will be 123 for Kenya.
God, this is an embarrassment. Why can't they do a split screen?
The only people i've ever seen use a split screen is the BBC.
Every marathon I try to watch on tv is TERRIBLY DONE. Normally we miss the big break in the men's race because they are showing the 7th place female finish but this tops that!!!!
These commentators are top notch.

Looking at those women steeplechasers....yes...rudimentary is putting it mildly. You need to come a long way, baby.
...Yea!!!!! I can't get the channel either,,,,, I hope all the heats in other races are streamed as well....
...LetsRun and stream some shrimp and races !!!!!!!!!
The marathon is hilarious.....obviously no-one gives a cr*p other than the medallists.
Akaba has come up from 7th to 5th and moving up on 4th but looks like no chance of catching top 3.
Eurosport commentators are usually pretty good in most sports.
I loved the stack at the drink station.
Akaba has now moved into 5th. Being Japanese she wants to finish in the top 3 so she can have automatic entry for the Olympics....it is not going to happen for her.
IAAF web site can't handle the load on the first day...

What's it going to like on the last few days with all the finals?
