Should I use Mizuno Musha 3 or Asics Hyper Speed 4 for my Long runs?
Should I use Mizuno Musha 3 or Asics Hyper Speed 4 for my Long runs?
I believe the Musha is more of a stability shoe than the Hyper Speed. So, whatever that means for you.
do you go to a D3 high school?
Only you can answer this question.
The Musha has a stability element to it, the Hyperspeed doesn't. However, I would guess that if you're using a flat for your long runs, you're not heel striking. In that case, I don't think the stability is as much of a factor. To me, the Hyperspeed feels much softer than the Musha. I also find the Musha to be a touch wider up front. If I could change one thing about the Hyperspeed, I'd make the heel narrower; I have to lace up to the last eyelet in that shoe. The Hyperspeed is also a bit lighter -- 7.0 oz compared to the Musha's 7.8.
Having said all that, I don't have a clue as to what you should wear for your long runs.
Try one of each and see which leg feels better.
