I love it when mediocre whot guys blame their wretched lots on others.if you lost a job to a minority or woman it's because you suck or are pathetic. They didnt get sometning they didnt deserve, rather That woman or minority is simply better than you.
I work for an organization that hires people at the $200k+ level. Our last three offers were to two Asians and a woman (one of the Asians was a woman). No reverse discrimination here; the white male candidates were simply minor league in comparison. It was like comparing Elite East African runners to elite US runners. You find very few US runners on the same level.
And folks, stop whining about affirmative action. If you get passed over, simply embrace your mediocrity. A colleague teaches in an elite business school that whines about not finding qualified minority candidates. They 5 black male students and 0 black female students in their incoming class of nearly 200. You think your chances would be that much better if there 5 more slots for whit guys? The reality os those 5 are probably better than you and there are probably dozens of other white and Asian candidates ahead of you in competition for those seats. As one commentator put it, white guys complaining about AA are le like drivers in a crowded parking lot who grumble about the handful of empty handicap spaces. The reality is that those spaces would be full as. Well if they weren't reserved.
I also laugh at your criticism of the President's policies. Be sure to give your Tea Party and Repub representatives full credit for shutting done gov in order to maintain privilege for the rich. Obama has been an incredibly weak president. He is so weak that we are essentially seeing Repub policies in place. If you think it's bad now, you'll really hate it when the Repubs get the White House back.

Wow, you certainly weren't hiring white males in this country. English doesn't seem to be your first language.
I worked in a corporation and was privy to the HR policies. Go and look at the government diversity expectations for companies wishing to suckle on the public teat. If you don't have the right ratio of blacks and women you are not asked to come back. No matter your price.
Just because you source a few soft males in your interview pool(which is itself subjective), don't think there aren't any qualified white males looking for opportunity. If you pick the pool, don't be surprised when who you want to place comes out ahead.
The last 15 - 20 years business has been engineering itself to redress the 'long term imbalance in minority hiring". The more women and minorites we've hired, the less white males. I won;t say there are not issues to correct, but how its corrected is important. In my old industry women now out number men.(I'm recently retired). Qualified, experienced candidates were passed over to provide developmental opportunities for minorites. Interestingly the company is now being run by all these genious diverse hires in middle management and it's not surprising that it's all gone down the shitter.
As have a lot of large companies following the same path.
When you spend so much time building employee network groups, flexible work hours and locations, don't be surprised when your priorites don't seem to be; making money and being competitive.
In the past I am sure that its been perceived as unfair to diverse candidates. That has changed to where its now very fair to diverse candidates.
Unfortunately its also corresponded with business going to hell in a handbasket.
As for accusing failed candidates of mediocrity - you have a fcking nerve.
The big issue now is really about the lack of jobs. I would hope that the best candidate gets the job. But make sure that the definition of the best candidate doesn't screen out white males. As it does now.
