Ok so I am a rising senior looking to break 16 in the 5k for my cross country season. I started my summer off with 35 miles and now am progressing to my peak. (35 40 45 50 50 55 62 70 with long run at 13) I have been patient and kept most of my runs at easy pace.(by feel mostly) Should these runs begin to feel easier or should i feel fatigued? Am i building correctly? When should I up the intensity?
ps. i ran a 10k road race off the 45 miles a week in 34:10 going 17:30 and 16:40.
