Over the last 1 to 3 weeks, I've noticed my GPS watch is "off" in regards to distance and pace. One of my staple runs is a 7-mile out-and-back where I turn around at 3.65 miles (and walk the final .3 as a cooldown). I always start at the same place but the 3.65 mile turnaround point has been off both ways (shorter and longer, but mostly longer). On one run, the turnaround point was off by about .25 miles. Also, the pace reported on my GPS has seemed to be slower than the effort feels. I don't think I'm getting slower (although I guess this could be a possibility). Could this be the result of the recent solar activity? Or do GPS watches degrade over time in regards to accuracy? Mine is about 2 years old and well used.
