I ran for a long time in the Mizuno Inspire series and had very few injury problems. About 6 months ago I really got into running in less shoe (minimalist) and transitioned to the mirage and trail glove. After the initial soreness, i was running pretty well and injury free. However, during the summer when I upped my mileage to between 45-50 mpw, I strained my calf muscle not once but twice. I had to take a week off both times from training to heal. I am now healthy again but training in the Brooks Ravenna. What should I do? Should I try to transition back to minimalist shoes or stick with a light stability shoe like the Ravenna?
155lbs, 5' 11", moderate overpronator, low 17's 5K.
