many will be in hard training and perhaps even holding back.
Count on big surprises in Dajgu. I am convinced that Kris Solinski will be soundly beaten at Monaco but win in a medal
at WC. Moh Fara and Marga will battle it out at Monaco.
Exciting.

This seems to be shaping up to the be highlight of the season. As people have said, it might as well be the WC final. Of course people are preparing for the WC but they will be ready to roll here and looking for PRs. Races like this do not come around often and these guys will take it seriously.
And for christ's sake learn their names you troll!!!
After Paris and Birmingham my money is on Farah winning this in a new British record. If he's there with 400 to go then no one can live with the pace he can lay down on the last lap, with the exception of K. Bekele, who isn't running.
Both Jesus and Mohammed are in this race. Seriously. Lol...who will win?
Moh Fara will be past his peak in Dajgu. He will not win a medal. KB will kick ass though.
I am dislectic.
Will this be streamed live like birmingham?

there isn't any reason for this race to be tactical. this should play out to be an "I belong here" race. if it is a precursor to WC, then why not let it all hang out to see where "you" stand with regard to your competition.
i'd like to see the Americans push the pace here.

I doubt it will be tactical becasue most of these guys have not had an all out effort this year and you need at least one or two hard efforts before a major championship. You need the stimulas to let you know were you are.
Lagat said his goal was to run 12:48 at this race and there are others looking to get fast times as well so there is no way that they will let the race turn tactical.
They should hire a rabbit, tell him to go out at 7:40 pace at 3k and make it clear to everyone that he is welcome to stay in the race if he wishes.
That way the field will have to stick to him.
I fear Legat is not in shape to run 12.48. That probably requires 3.31 speed which he hasn't shown this year!

Um, ever heard of Bernie Lagat?!?

You are correct that he has seemed quite determined all season to set a PR in this race, however.......
1) in other races in the past, he has stated (though maybe not quite as adamantly as this time) that he was looking for a fast time, or AR, etc, and the pace just didn't happen, and he settled for a kick win. It could happen again, especially because...
2) I don't think there is anyone to pull him towards sub 12:50 right now. Maybe I will be wrong. Last year many of the Ken/Eth guys seemed sharper than this year.
So I don't see sub 12:50, but you are likely correct that it won't get super tactical, and will likely go sub 12:55 for someone with a fast last lap.
When I look into my crystal ball I see;
5 guys under 13:00. Winner runs 12:52. Two Americans under 13:00, Lagat and Solinsky.
Rupp is tired has sore hammy.
Your crystal ball is blurry if Rupp isn't sub-13:00. I remind you that after Farah's 26:46 win, Salazar stated Rupp's fitness is very close to Farah's, and last week's 5K proved that. If it's fast it's Farah for the win with a big last lap off a fast pace in 12:50-52, with Rupp not far behind.
The exciting part of the pre-race build up is the number of guys capable of finishing in the 12:52-55 range, including the Americans!
Merga, Koech and Chepkok ran 12:54-55 at Roma on May 26. They definitely will be sharper nearly two months later and keen on breaking 12:50. Weather permitting, I don't see any reason to doubt 2-4 runners will break 12:50. If it isn't Lagat taking it in 12:48, someone will.
I hear there is a lot of effort put in by the organiser to ensure the race is under 12:50. They're talking about a third guy to push on after 3000.

If Teg tries to nail guys from behind this race is going to be fast for sure.
It was mildly funny the first time, but not the 10th time!
Im not going to watch the meet as the 4th trailer in the Delilah series is to be released at the same time.
