I am sure that I am not the only person here to have done this sort of thing.
I grew up in a warm climate and during my first winter in Canada I had some trouble adjusting. At this point I can and do run in just about anything that a Canadian winter can throw at me but this was not the case initially.
One of the ways that I maintained my running was to run indoors. The apartment building that I lived in had a very large basement that I would take advantage of. The hall ways were about 200 meters long so I would run a hall way, turn around, run it again, and so forth, covering 10 miles or so. I would also run up the 16 story stairwell during the run to mix it up.
Has anyone else done this sort of thing?
