Pistorius!
I think Flanagan will take the record, going sub 14:44, from what I can tell she's running around 14:31 right now.
Flanagan looks like a hack out there, USA women are so far behind East African women it's not even funny, and Flanagan humiliates our best here....
If she can hold on she should be under 14:44. Pace is slowing though.
Shalane is getting SPANKED by the CERA sistas.
Thanks, Tony.
Thanks for the link!
Looked like 14:45 or so.
Still a nice showing, looked like 14:45
defar 14:29, 1st
flanagan 14:45...4th?
4 FLANAGAN Shalane USA 14:45.20 SB
I swear some people have never watched a major international race before. Some comments on Shalane being dominated when she ran smart and moved up during the race to finish in the top 5 in a very short distance for her. The women always end up very spread out and many of the Africans just hang on the the lead as long as possible. That was a very typical summer euro women's 5k. Certainly the Americans aren't going to win this event but they are competitive.
American runners 15 seconds behind and we are happy about it... So embarrasing.
Hasting in 10th, 15:15.30 Didn't she need the 'A' WC qualifier? Is the A a sub 15:15? Thx.

It was a pretty disappointing performance for all of the americans entered. I am sure that Shalane won't be pleased with it
behind one of the best female runners of all time, if one of our guys got 4th and was 15 seconds behind KB we'd be ecstatic.
What is the threshold that separates a "hobbyjogger" from a "sub-elite" runner?
