I'm watching it live on Universal. French dude just ran an 8:02 in the Steeple, smoked Ezekiel Kemboi. I'd love to see an American run 8:10 in any given year, heck even sub 8:15 would be nice.

That was a great race! Mek ran so patient and had a huge finish. Kemboi was hanging out and in obvious pain after some inconsistent early pacing. Exciting to watch!

Universal Sports does a great job. I love clearing out my day for big meets in the summer. I wish more casual track fans would be able to see this live (and in prime time if we could get a mid-season meet in the US.)
what the hell is wrong with 400m running right now? Whatever undectable drug they were on must be detectable now.

I agree, the 400 lacks some luster and star power right now. May be drug detection may be Wariner fading and Merritt being a moron as well. Hopefully the youngsters start filling the void.
