First off, why is there not a usatf performance list for non-NCAA athletes?
Right now Russell Brown is the man to beat with his 3:51. I cant see a scenario where he does not make top 3.
Lomong has gone under the radar this year but he has competed at USAs before and knows how to make the team.
Wheating automatically deserves mention due to his name and PRs but I don't think he is the favorite at this point. The really are a lot of questions with Wheating. Will he focus on 800 or 15 or both? can he place in both? is he is top form? I personally think wheating will place top 3 but it is a difficult call to make.

Torrence has been racing at a high level for a long time but I think will fall just short of the top 3.
Blankenship don't forget about this guy. 3:54.10 mile at PRE
Ulrey another dark horse, who imo could surprise a lot of people.
Centro I am putting him below Ulrey but if it comes to a kick he gets very dangerous
Manzano No idea what to think here, but could surprise.
Jager I see him making finals and placing middle of pack.
