Look at how classless the Canucks were the whole series, does the behavior of their fans really surprise you?
I would like to thank the fans for booing Gary Bettman like I have never heard. It was a pleasure to watch that clown get booed to the point where he had to yell.
I say give the Canuck fans an award.

Exactly. These are the same people who continued chanting "we want the cup" through the American National Anthem.
I don't want to hear about how awesome and peaceful Canada is anymore. You're all up your a$$ about it.

I'm not getting where the Rosa twins fit into this - what do you mean?
there is a very good reason they cancelled the planned public viewing (on big screen) at the Boston Garden. The police were totally freaked

At your service.
Have they put these bad boys into play yet?

Are they the only out-of-the-closet NHL players?
Sorry about the brief post, BA. I just meant that the Rosa studs could have been really poor sports about having to stop their race but chose to handle their situation like young men and not brats. You can learn a lot about someone by how they handle defeat and/or controversial decisions made by referees.
I played two team sports in college (not running-related), for a very well known school. The only reason that I mention this is to let you know that I am not some nonathletic fairy.
I honestly feel as though ESPN and big business have ruined sports across the world. ESPN tries to make everything a drama. They try to make rivalries about hate, not about competition. Duke hates UNC, etc. Ask any UNC basketball players about their relationship with Duke players. Sure, in the heat of competition, they want to win. They train all year to beat that damn team. But they RESPECT them as well.
If you have a rival, you want to beat them more than anything in the world. The reason that you want to beat them is b/c it means more to beat someone you respect. You don't want them to get hurt. You don't want them to get sick. You want to beat them at their best. Otherwise, it doesn't count.
All of these pathetic "fans" who riot and hate the opposition are just clowns. Mark Cuban is a clown. He thinks he is an athlete, it is hilarious. Watch him talk about the title. What a douche.
Sports have been taken over by clowns.
No, on another note. When it comes to senseless riots like this one, police/military should be able to just cream the rioters in whatever way they find easiest. Senseless rioting - not activism or demonstrations - should be zero tolerance. They should be treated as terrorists and dealt with via the military. There is no excuse for rioting.

In 7 games the Bruins outscored the Cunucks 23-8 (yes 8. And 4 goals in the last 6 games).
That's a pretty lopsided 7 game series to riot over.
Another dimwit:

Canada has had a significant number of troops in Afghanistan for verging on a decade now, and 156 of our soldiers have given their lives in the conflict.

These riots have nothing to do with hockey. BC is filled with 20 year old guys who live dead end lives, who are jealous of the wealth of Vancouver, are frustrated because they can't afford to cost of living, and are looking for an excuse to act like idiots. They would have done the same thing if Vancouver won.
There was a hockey riot in '94 that has lived on in the city's collective conscious, and these guys couldn't wait to be part of that lore.
Divorce this riot from hockey. Similar stupid acts occurs on fireworks night and any other collective gathering.
Sorry about the Afghan mishap. Delete that part of his post and I will agree with the rest of it. Pussies are poor losers. this behavior will prevent them from winning next year like they could have if they had been good sports. I am sure you do not condone the poor sportsmanship and rediculous behavior of your fellow countrymen and women.

"A literal war zone"
Illiteracy reigns.
I was joking, mostly. Given that the city is usually incredibly clean, a few broken windows and burning cars would make it unrecognizable.
