I never heard of this girl before and now she breaks the freshman high school record by over 3 seconds. That's the kind of thing that happens when a truly expectional talent is emerging.
Admittedly, the 1500 is not commonly run by high schoolers, but still - this girl would be in the NCAA DI finals already - and a very few well-trained, talented, hard-working women ever make the NCAA DI finals.
Earlier this year, plus photo, she's just a "spud"
Don't know her height but just to put that picture in perspective...her coach is very tall..well over 6 feet if not closer to 6'4....

She looks fairly tall (about the same as Cuffe so around 5'3" or 5'4".
Insane talent...Mary Decker kind of ability...55/2:05/4:17/9:28 shows incredible speed and endurance. Great range.
Also, great race for Cuffe. She'll be more of a 5k/10k girl in college, and to have 4:19 speed in high school is outstanding for her...her speed and kick are improving every season.
Does anyone know if Cain will be racing anymore this year?

Not to be a Debbie Downer but being a fast freshman girl is uncorrelated (or even inversely related) to future performance. Great time but don't get too excited.
Even if she never goes any faster, this is still something to be exited about, and the potential is something to be excited about. Anyone who isn't excited is off their rocker. If she never runs faster, so be it, that has no correlation to whether or not we should be excited.
Outstanding running.
Thanks for the splits and photos.
