thank goodness it takes a little more than hearsay to convict someone of a crime. Innocent until proven guilty here in the good ol' U. S. of A.

Lance will admit if it gets to the point where it is in his best interests to.
Never going to get to that point when stuff like this is going on in the Heartland:
http://www.kansascity.com/2011/03/08/2709590/sporting-kc-names-stadium-for.html#Lance has outrageously big cajones, so when he lost one his strength to weight ratio gave him an advantage that you can duplicate yourself.
There is no scenario in which Armstrong would admit to doping assuming he did.
...from the tons of 'corrupt/rat' Politicians and other cheater/liars/thiefs, etc., etc. the list goes on!
Yet, never and oh I mean never to I recall one single lousy rat ever raising his paw/hoof/hand to ever admit guilt-EVER! No not even one 'O.J. Simpson', President Richard Nixon, Sadam Hussien, Ill. Gov. George Ryan, Rod Blagoveich, you certainly get the drift!
So why do we expect for him to be the first? Good thing is that the same investigator who is in the process of taking down Bonds is on the case.
Finally, ALL of the entire Elite cycling field gets busted for drugs, but yet were led to believe all but one single guy didn't? Hmmm, they tell me there's a bridge in Brooklyn NY for sale too!
What about if it is to avoid jail?

So who fcking cares? He won, his opponents didn't and were busted, so he must be guilty? Einstein.
And the prosecutor in the Barry Bonds case should be fired. He has spent millions, and years. Years, and he has him for lying to a grand jury. Not taking drugs at all. For lying.
All Lance has to do is take the 5th. That takes him out of that BB picture.
This is such a pain in the ass. Totally useless money spent on a guy who supposedly doped in a Europe.
Who fcking cares? Not me. This process will soon eclipse the length of his career. He was tested in his day, with the best they had to offer. Get over it. Even Gore got over the dangloing chads, and that was way more important.
Marion Jones was accused of delaying the testing of her B sample by weeks, so that the EPO would break down and be undetectable. 6 weeks.
You all expect a 9 year old urine sample stored in a French footlocker is grounds for indictment.
Stop it. They had a shot at him when he was riding. Every win he was tested, and he was 'randomly' tested when he didn't. He's retired and hasn't won a race for years.
When this prosecutor runs for office I hope they grill him about his grandstanding. If you want to tackle legal corruption, go after the DOJ, and the crap they are pulling on a daily basis.
Fck the law.

F the law.

im kinda hopping in on the conversation late...but you've got to be kidding, right?
the man is a huge drug cheat, everyone knows it. he will probably never admit to it, but that doesnt change the fact that he is/was/will be always doped to the gills.
To you guys that think he was clean... how do you feel about the fact Lance laughs his head off at how stupid you all are. You really do have to be stupid to think he was clean. Do some research.
VO2 max, while a predictor of success is not a guarantee. Frank Shorter's VO2 max was pretty ordinary for a distance runner, certainly looking at it no one would have predicted his success and gold medal. I recall chatting with him about it way back when (at the 1st LA International Marathon, 1984)I recall he was quite happy proving all the scientists wrong (myself included in that lot, being a scientist at the time).
...ha ha 'nathotdog!'
No, he will never admit to it. He's a patholigically lying ego-maniac.
His approach has been to systematically discredit the labs, governing bodies, accusers, and generally anyone that has ever said a bad word about him.
Listen closely to his responses to the Landis accusations from last year. Rather than profusely claiming his innocence (which is what any innocent person would have done, by the way), he instead repeatedly attacked Landis' credibility. It's a smoke and mirrors strategy to create a shred of doubt in people's minds about these sources, despite any physical evidence or witness testimony to the contrary.
He also is counting on leniency because of his philanthropic cause.
Collectively this probably will be enough to keep him in a grey area and that means the current millions of Lance lovers will stay in that camp.
All of this said, though, the guy is a freaking badass even without the EPO and blood doping. Most people that hate him would trade places with him. Be honest and admit it.

Armstrong will never admit to doping.....again in an assumption that he did dope.
A Bonds scenario would be the worst case possibility and Armstrong has a LOT more going for him to eliminate concerns about jail time.
Bonds, at this point, may not be convicted in a trial that has taken 7 years and who knows how many millions of dollars to simply bring to trial. He's about as unlikeable athlete as there has been in the US in recent times. Even if convicted, there is precedence not to have him serve jail time.
If Armstrong went on trial, there would be no such public negative reaction plus you'd have the "he's done more good than harm" crowd which would never convict him.
There is zero chance, ZERO!, that Armstrong ever admits to doping even if there's a picture of him with a syringe in his arm that has a label reading "EPO STEROID Solution" on it.

You are a real Einstein. No where did I say he never doped.
No where did I say he was clean. And nothing that will be uncovered here will come close to any truth in professional cycling. Persoanlly, I think Lemond had a few extra cups of java on the morning of his big ride, but it doesn't lessen my appreciation for waht he did. He was at breakfast with everyone else in the race.
To paraphrase - it's all hearsay and unsubstantiated accusations. It's a legal attempt to rewrite history.
In the TdF no one was tested more than him. When he came back, they randomly tested him so much he should have bought lottery tickets. If the French could have nailed him, they would have.
They didn't. So stop already.
At this stage he is approaching 40, retired, and who cares? I don't want to waste a penny of my taxes on a guy who competed mainly in Europe, passed all their tests and jumped through all their hoops.
If you want to show outrage, go after college sports in this country. Steroid use in high schools. Legal corruption. The DOJ. The Government.
On a list of things I care about, finding the Ark on Mt Ararat might rate higher.
...touchez "Einstein", lol!!!
Nathotdog,
You dont care that's fine. I do and we live in a country where you are expected to obey the law. You dont like that everyone has to obey the Law? get the F- out.
I will be more than happy to commit, literally, 50 cents of my taxpayer money to take down the greatest fraud in history of athletics.
Dopers ruin sports. They slant the playing field so that everyone else has to dope if they want to be competitive.
Drug tests don't work and I suspect if there is only "hearsay" etc. then he will be acquitted. Fortunately it looks like they have quite a bit more than that.
Will OTC ever admit to doping? Their coach already admitted he would try it if he new he would get away with it.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
