Hi Weldon and Robert
We went to Kenya to do some interviews.
One of the interviews are with the twins Zane and Jake Robertson. They left New Zealand at the age of 17!!! to go to follow their dream in running.
This weekend they will be running world XC in Spain. They are geat!
They went to Haile when they were 17 to ask him questions, after that they went to Kenya, and now they are 21 and they haven't seen their parents in 4 years!!

The email got us to do a little research on the twins. LetsRun.com was afterall founded by two twins.
The Robertson twins are totally legit. At 21 years old, Jake tilastapaja says Jake has a 13:32 pb on the track and 28:32 on the road whereas his brother Zane has a 3:44.93 pb for 1500. In the interview, Jake says he's run 13:16 (maybe on the road) and his brother Zane says he ran 3:41 as a 19 year old.
In a day and age when many runners talk about giving it their absolute all to become the best they can possibly be, these two upped and moved to Kenya at age 17 and haven't seen their parents in four years.
Truly remarkable. Even more remarkable is the fact that steeple world record holder Shaheen has been helping them make ends meet!!! It's not like these guys are loaded. They started sleeping on the mattress and were struggling to get by.
