I have to say 10/10, this is quite convincing. And would letsrun allow this to happen if it obv is not AW? Hmmmm....
Oh what the hell....Alan, is the 800m event important to you?
Alan, any chance of you getting a blog in the future, such as what Dathan and Ryan have on competitor? It would let the fans stay updated, and you could block comments so you wouldn't get the "armchair quarterbacks" or hate mail.

The real REAL Alan Webb wrote:Hey I just wanted to let you guys know I am the real Alan Webb, though other guy is an impostor. I don't normally get on these boards and I will not be returning so anyone else claiming to be me is not, I just heard about this thread from Galen who suggested I straighten this stuff out. Thanks guys.
OH CRAP.......Which one do I shoot?!?!?
haha well done.
Before you were married, I worked with Julia at a store in Virginia. She is awesome. Remember the name of that place?
So you're saying you talked to Alan and he confirmed that he is posting on this thread????????????

nvm wow i take that back
Alan,
You have previously indicated that the mile is still your priority, but I have to ask you if you have any ambition at all of breaking 13 in the 5000? Give your success in limited attempts and possible added strength, it seems like you have some potential to PR there. Your thoughts?

I'm going to assume this is Alan because of how insane it would be to talk to him on here.
Alan, you are one of my few favourite runners to watch. Most of the hate on here comes from fans being obsessed with you. We need something to talk about.
Do you run with Dathan and Galen much? Are your mileages and workouts too different for combined runs?
Where is your favourite place to train?
At what distance do you think you'd lose your edge over Ritz in a race?
I know you've lost a lot of muscle mass. What were your highest and lowest body weights as a professional?
How relaxed did you feel in your 3:37 1500?
Dudes, I really think this is Alan Webb, haha....wow!! Letsrun would not let this go 6 pages. I think LR spoke to Mr Webb, and they came to an "arrangement" for a period of time....(maybe this post will get deleted?) :)
Anyway, I think it is he, and I'm impressed with the responses to questions/comments etc. Thank you Mr Webb.
Crucify me and other believers if it isn't he. :)
After reading through all of those responses, I'll admit that I am still somewhat skeptical that this is indeed the American record holder here. Even though I am skeptical, I am still a huge fan.
I was lucky enough to compete in the same regional as you in high school and I actually had Rod and Todd has teammates in college. Where did we go to school? Kidding...kind of.
One of my favorite memories was at Great American XC in Cary. My college team was previewing the course, a rag-tag bunch of DIII runners, and THE Alan Webb approaches us to talk with some of his former high school teammates and us. I still get chills thinking about it.
Just know that despite the negativity that can abound at times, many people are still rooting for you to do well. I know I am, as are Rod and Todd.
Good luck!
as cool as it would be if this is the real a.w., fact is, he hasn't given up a specific detail yet - just banalities, really.
Lets just continue keeping this positive because we are doing a real good job here. Good job everyone! Let us continue to leave the negativity aside so as to not lose Mr. Webb from posting.
Northern Region,
is that you kirk? this is todd. (for other letsrunner's, i was on the south lakes team with alan.) dude, i've actually been reading through this the past couple days and was thinking that his posts do sound like Alan. i can't say positively that it is, but if its a troll then he's got me fooled.
Hahah, I'm already convinced.
Great job with everything so far!
Whats your fastest loop of Burke Lake?
Why the hell would you be convinced? He couldn't remember a restaurant/bar he ate at after the race in Seattle. He hasn't answered one question that would tell us he's Alan Webb.
It ain't Webb.

That's why I was pushing for the next race question. He did answer that he's doing the Pre mile, which while you may think of course he's doing the pre mile, it answers that he wouldn't do the 2 mile with Galen (which would seem like something Salazar would have them do) or the 800 or something, so it does sort of narrow things down. It would make sense for him to do the 2 mile with Galen, the mile, or the 800, and he answered mile.
Best wishes for the coming season Alan, have fun out there!
I bought a book on microsoft office Enterprise 2007 generator to swot up before starting a new job. I don't know which version of microsoft office 2007 Professional Plus product key they use though. microsoft office 2007 cd keyThe book starts off by saying something like "the first thing you'll notice is that office 2007 is radically different from previous versions". If you are familiar with it - should I check which version they have where I'm going to work and change the book if it's a pre- office Professional Plus 2007 product key version?
HA HA Burke Lake!!!! You know when AW set the course record there his first 800m was a slightly uphill then downhill 2:08? He ran under 14 minutees for 2.98 miles- dumbest course in the world, why not 3 miles NOVA coaches?

Gary, I would go ahead and check to see which version they have. The book won't do you much good if it's written for pre-Office 2007. Good luck!
