Part of the reason is that the Brojos inexplicably give Lagat the same treatment as Paula. These two escape scrutiny in spite of the shady circumstances that would warrant non-stop articles on other, less-favored runners.

Why make him choose?
He can be lazy AND vitriolic!
Lagat actually failed way more then one Drug Test!

I am 100% sure Lagat has doped at some point in his career, but I keep reading about the 2008 positive test and cover-up. Why is it that this is only something that appears on anonymous forums? If that story had any legs, surely someone with credibility would come forward with this information. The fact that nobody has leads me to believe it is likely not true.

5 years later and still no support for the claim that he's failed a drug test.

You mean a b-sample that was mishandled so it was not ever possible to test positive? That's called dodging hail in a hailstorm, not innocence.
Is it coincidental that Martial Saugy, the IAAF's "plan b" for doping controversy attended this b-sample test? Does Martial Saugy attend many b-sample tests? It seems like he'd be a very busy guy flying around the world attending b-sample tests. Yet, he attended this one.
Funny how that worked out.
Too many racists here.

The "positive" a-sample was the cooked sample.
Because Lagat is a smiley foreigner who would never cheat!! (Unlike Rupp who is a homegrown AMERICAN yet less friendly to idiots and thus a presumed doper- despite constantly being tested.)
Never mind that Lagat had the second fastest 1500 time in history while running in an era rife with EPO use. Or his positive test. Or regularly beating other runners who were doping. Nothing to see here.
Even today the answer is the same; it's the brainwashed PC SJW cuck cowards who like Bernie. But if Bernie were white they'd be railing on him endlessly. Witness their hatred and jealousy of Rupp.

Trump supports Rupp over the plastic American Lagat. Trump 2016!
MAGA
Yet there is still more reasons given to suspect Galen than there are Bernie, who by the way never tested positive.

How long has Lagat lived in the USA? How come he still speaks with a thick Kenyan accent? At least Obama spoke like an American.
There is no more contorted argument than a Letsrun defence of a likely doper.

Slow day in the office, Coevett? I guess you must resurrect these old threads now that your prediction of many more elite Kenyans failing drug tests hasn't materialized.
Happy New Year!
Concerned Citizen said: Why does everyone forget that American Jim Lightbody won 4 Olympic gold medals and two silvers?!
James Lightbody (16 Mar 1882) won the 800m/1500m double at the 1904 Olympics in Saint Louis, setting a world record in the latter event. he also won the steeplechase over the decidedly odd distance of 2590m. in 1907 he set a world indoor record for the mile of 4:24.00i.
one curious and very little-known fact about him is that he was, as far as I know, the first United States citizen to win the athletic championship of another country. on 28 August 1910, at Frankfurt in Germany, he did the 800m/1500m double at the German national championships running 2:02.7 / 4:12.4
the following year at Dresden he repeated the feat running 1:59.6 / 4:16.2. the winner of the US Championships that year (held in Pittsburgh) were Melvin Sheppard won the 880yds in 1:54.2 and Abel Kiviat won the mile in 4:19.6
cheers.
It's because he looks like a mini Tyson Beckford.
